Hey folk, I saw there wasn't an existing thread for this and I felt like making one. Hit the thread up with new/interesting releases:
Slowdive - When The Sun Hits:
Spacemen 3 - Revolution:
Tokyo Shoegazer (東京酒吐座) - Crystallize:
I'm still very new to the genre but I'm really enjoying what I've heard so far. I'd love to hear some of you guy's suggestions because I'm lapping this stuff up right now.

I figured it might be fun to go through and listen to everything on this chart. From what I've seen, this touches all the bases of shoegaze and mentions all the tracks/albums I already posted. Might leave my thoughts on some of these albums too. In case it doesn't display properly, here's a link to the original image: i.imgur.com/AxsYUmn.jpg

Slowdive are fantastic as are Spacemen 3 and My Bloody Valentine who's album 'Loveless' is essential listening regardless of genre!
I would highly recommend the first couple of Spirtualized albums also, Lazer Guided Melodies as well as Pure Phase. The first album by The Verve is well worth hearing too!

Gonna check those albums out tonight. I adore Loveless but since it's so popular I didn't want to put it on the thread just yet. I ordered some of MBV's earlier work too after like 1-2 listens. I'm amazed at how good they are. I just put this on and it's kinda cool. Maybe a little too "happy sounding" but I dig the drum sound: My Dead Girlfriend - Hades:

My Bloody Valentine - Isn't Anything:
Not gonna lie, I was a little disappointed by this one. I guess my expectations were more Loveless Beta-Version but I got an experimental pop-rock album and that let me down. Still, lots of cool riffs and textures.

Isn't anything is still good. I enjoy everything they have done in all honesty, they are a pretty special band. I know people into their metal and noise shows who say My Bloody Valentine are the loudest band they have seen, painfully loud in fact!

I have recently been listening to some Stereolab for the first time in ages. Some of their albums definitely belong in this thread, maybe give their first album Peng! a go

Long time no see, everyone! Figured I might as well share some more albums I've heard since the last time I updated the thread.
Flying Saucer Attack - S/T:
I love this album! The lo-fi sound really adds to the noise. I'm surprised shoegaze as a genre seems so focused on squeaky-clean production and bloated recording budgets when this album works so well. More people really need to hear this.
Nadja/Black Boned Angel - Christ Sent Light:
Okay, not exactly pure shoegaze (closer to drone metal/dream pop) but hot damn is it good. I adore the textures and the infusion of drone works perfectly. My only issue is the two bands haven't worked on anything together since like 2011. I need more of this in my life, damn it!
Lush - Split:
This album is one of the greats. Sparkly, plastic and shallow in all the right ways. Initially I found it a little monotonous but I really warmed up to it by the end. Not too much else to say really other than if you haven't heard it before, you really owe it to yourself to check the full thing out!

creepoid.bandcamp.com/album/wetI forget what circumstances specifically brought this record in, I just remember having it in stock one day at the record store I used to work at. Of all the records I encountered this was one that stuck with me. Couldn't tell you why.
