Greetings fellow wanderers! Apologies for making my first post a promotional one, but I'll definitely be sticking around in the community. My debut album, a long time in the making, is finally unveiled and I'm excited it to share it and welcome any thoughts and feedback. 🧙 If you like your dungeon synth on the hi-fi end of the scale, with more of a fantasy story-telling feeling, hints of folk and even neo-classical, hopefully this one is for you. I wanted to create more than just music, so the album is accompanied by a short story which the songs attempt to portray. A full visual and text video is now streaming here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=AW6AFkAMHWMJourneys In The New North recounts the tales of The Wanderer as he aimlessly explores the peninsula of Norlend. His peaceful reverie is soon disturbed, as the Essermen exert their power on the region for unannounced reasons. Whilst imprisoned in the city of Dralden, a mysterious people offer an escape, and The Wanderer must quickly decide his new path... The album is also live on Bandcamp and other digital platforms: songsofthewanderer.bandcamp.com/And I'm delighted to say the prestigious Dark Age Productions will be releasing a tape edition, with pre-orders hopefully coming in August. Thanks for listening!

I have checked ot your album on yt and have to say thet there seems to be much to explore in this release, so I can't come up with a final conclusion yet.
I liked the fact that the first two songs sounded almost confy but as the album goes on the tone changes quite a bit. This really evokes a feeling of leaving well known terrain and embarking into the wild. I also liked the introverted song at the end a lot. It feels like reflecting about a journey that now has come to an end. The usage of field recordings is very nice too and fits well into the music. Last but not least: I am happy that your music, even if it is HiFi, still sounds like DS and doesn't try to emulate orchestral music.
This is a really good first album and I am looking foreward for more in the future!

Thanks for the kind words and comments! Honestly one of my main worries with the album was that it jumps around a bit in terms of sound and feel, but with some reordering and then linking songs to the story, I felt happy enough in the end. As a reaction to that I did start work on a side project with a more consistent sound, which I hope to finish up soon.

Finally listened to your very nice album The Wanderer ! Reading the comments I'm in agreement that it has many different tones, which ends up as a great result which I thoroughly enjoyed .. My favorite songs and added to my all time favorites playlists were Mushroom Grove,March of the Essermen,An Unwelcome Valley Journey,Alone and Forlorn,Dance of the Eldra,Moonlight Majesty and Unknown Realms.. Great songs with lots to get and listen, great solid stuff!! The ones I didn't mention were interesting enough too but some speech/effects mainly hampered my personal experience.. STILL, great solid rock stuff man, I got a solid 30 minutes of gems to listen, that's a lot of stuff!! Congratulations, very much looking forward to anything you do next, regards!!

Greetings, followers! I now have copies of the album in my possession, and have decided to make them in to these limited collectors editions. Only 9 are available, and they are on sale now! One per customer, and they send from the UK. These collectors editions come in a choice of three colored hessian bags, with a stamped logo tag, the album on cassette tape, a small art card of the map used for the story, and a handful of pine needles from the forest of Norlend itself. songsofthewanderer.bandcamp.com/album/journeys-in-the-new-north
