Hello everyone! In November of this year, I heard the release of the TUNDRASTRIDER tundrastrider.bandcamp.com/album/gargantuan-ruins (listen to the first track from 3:50) project, where the musician used a heavy synthesizer sound, very similar to what can be heard on the albums of the teams performing stoner / funeral doom. The closest analogue is the sound of an electric guitar overloaded with fuzz. I wondered if there were any other similar performers whose sound would be similar, but at the same time would not slide into noise. Do you find these features unique and deserving of a separate subgenre? If anyone has heard something like this, please answer in this topic. P.S. I don't speak English and used a translator. I'm sorry if I made a mistake somewhere.

Not sure if there is a category for something like this, but I want more of it. Closest analog I could come up with is Resinator. Excellent longform stoner/space/doom synth. Decidedly more on the noise side, Magic Find sometimes edges into synthy fuzz sounds too.

I listened to the Resonator album you suggested. It is interesting, but the difference is that it combines an overloaded guitar with a synthesizer, while in TUNDRASTRIDER it is the synthesizer that gives an overloaded sound.
As for Magic Find, it's really more on the noise side, as you noted.
Anyway, thanks for the answer! I hope that more people will be interested in this topic, and together we will find many more albums in this direction.

Check out the "Penance" demo by Destructor Creator Destructor, basically an attempt at doom metal using synths, by an Australian guy in 1993. It's not great, and I know it's not what you're looking for, but it's certainly an interesting little curiosity: benedictroff-marsh.bandcamp.com/album/penance

I listened with pleasure! Thanks!

Side B has a lot of that overdriven synth sound. Again though, more on the noise/drone spectrum. Still recommended for what you’re looking for I think. This one goes places. Earth-Rim Walker

I've heard these musicians before. This is really similar to what I was talking about at the beginning.
