This isn't dungeon synth, but I'm sure many of you are fans of both fantasy literature and metal, so I think it will be of interest. I'm the publisher of the fantasy anthology series Swords of Steel. Each book is a collection of fantasy/horror/adventure stories written by heavy metal musicians. Some of the authors are: Byron Roberts (Bal-Sagoth) E.C. Hellwell (Manilla Road, Hellwell) Mike Scalzi (Slough Feg) Howie Bentley (Cauldron Born, Briton Rites) There are two volumes so far and a third is coming later this year. For more information, check out www.facebook.com/DMRBooks or DMRBooks.storenvy.com.

I'm happy to hear there will be a third! I have the first book and am a huge fan of it, I still have to pick up the second though. Highly recommended to any fans of sword & sorcery, pulp-y literature, which should be all of you, we're on a dungeon synth forum for Christ's sake.

If you want to get a taste of what the books are like, check out these compilations on Bandcamp. They're free downloads, have tracks from all participating bands, and come with PDFs of excerpts from the books. dmrbooks.bandcamp.com/

Everything in our store is on sale this weekend. If you wanted to check out Swords of Steel, now's the best time. Shirts and patches are also available.

Also, be sure to check out the new website. In addition to having the usual information about DMR releases, the blog section has lots of articles on classic fantasy writers such as Robert E. Howard, A. Merritt, and plenty more.

The stories from all three volumes of Swords of Steel have been collected in an omnibus edition, which is now available worldwide through Amazon. dmrbooks.com/swords-of-steel-omnibus

I just want to say that everyone interested in fantasy/horror/sword and sorcery literature should pick up a copy of the Swords of Steel omnibus. DMR are a fantastic publisher who have put years of heart and soul into their work and there are some really fun stories featured in the book. It's extremely well-made too, feels great in my hands.
