I listened to all the material on your Bandcamp and really enjoyed it. It has a sort of static solemnity, not much tension or release, but just sort of drifting in ornate daydreams of ancient misty castles, staying focused in the majestic mood. It reminds me of Lunar Womb - The Sleeping Green a bit, I suppose mostly because of how it was old material recovered from backups and dusted off for modern hearing, but also just the general vibes feel similar. Also it brings to mind several other early 2000s artists that used similar sounds, Taur Nu Fuin and Darkstroll, maybe they were using soundfonts too? Anyways, good stuff!

andrewwerdna : Truly thanks for the warm feedback! Gotta check out the projects you mentioned, so thx for mentioning those. Tbh haven't heard any of them, not even Lunar Womb even though I've known Henri a.k.a. TrollHorn from over 20 years time; he's got like tons of projects anyway throughout the years, thus always something new/old seems to come up, hehe.

A new single is out!  "Kylmyydeniätön" (roughly transl. 'freezing ageless' in Eng.) represents one more hybrid of old and new: base melodies dating back to around '01 and originally composed as 90's norsecore style guitar riffs, salvaged from raw memo recordings on a C-cassette and now - along a hefty amount of new melodies and arrangements added in - reworked into one of the most epic Talvi songs to date. talvisynth.bandcamp.com/album/kylmyydeni-t-n-single-01-23 |
