What a fantastic reiteration of Twin Peaks. The episode that incorporated Penderecki's "Threnody for the Victims of Hiroshima" was truly unsettling. But yeah - all of the mood music was incredible.

This one might be of interest here.
The idea is simple: The noise walls separate the listener from outside noises, like your neighbour's music or shouts in the street. Then, harpsichord lines are added. Only that instrument (for this album at least) as the intention is to carry the listener to late Middle Ages and early Renaissance. However, the compositions are not thought to exactly emulate the music of those eras, it can get a bit experimental at times and take you to other worlds. Where the music will carry each listener is up to each listener.
In a nutshell, noise separates you from reality and music takes you to other times and places.

Check this out: Lattice of Agony - Pallid Bloommoonworshipper.bandcamp.com/album/lattice-of-agonyOn the Dark Ambient side of things, for sure - but a real nasty, blown-out dark n' crusty atmosphere. A lot of similar sounds & textures to my Alder Deep stuff, but presented much more ponderously & deliberately. I dig it, also the way over-the-top song titles!

Pallid Bloom actually had no direct "Dungeon" intention behind it other than the context that I do DS too and it came out on MW. More of a reference to things in this vein The Warmest Hum but very glad to hear that it lent itself to that mindset and was interesting to you guys.
that also just came out was purposefully an extension of DS into a loop/feedback/distortion area that took inspiration from Deepforest, Burzum, Prurient, and even a bit of Alder Deep at the beginning.
