  The time has dawned once again, Dungeon Dwellers. Dark, eldritch energies gather on the Northeastern horizon and we are called to Siege. Today we begin heralding our performers for the 2024 Northeast Dungeon Siege and our first announcement couldn’t be more monumental. We are humbled to announce the venerated Cernunnos Woods. A true pioneer of Dark Dungeon Music, Cernunnos Woods emerged in 1993 as an occult, esoteric vehicle for Bard Algol Eriboas’ druidic meditations on nature and mythology. A trilogy of demos in the early 90s, released on the artist’s own Dark Age Productions label, ultimately lead to the release of the project’s sole full length: Awaken the Empire of Dark Wood. For years after, the project lay silent until awakened by the Dungeon Synth revival of the 2010s and the release of Forest Anthology, a treasury of material from demos, compilations, and unreleased archives. Today Cernunnos Woods and @darkageproductions remains an active participant and champion of the modern Dungeon Synth scene. Now, for the first time, a live audience will be given the unprecedented chance to witness an old master live and in the flesh. |

 Our next artist announcement is one that many thought could never be. Hold on to your greathelms, because we are thrilled to announce the NEDS debut of the esteemed Hedge Wizard. Ohio based Hedge Wizard graced listeners with a defining album of the early DS revival with the 2014 release of More True Than Time Thought. Their noisy, moth eaten melodies paired with lively and idiosyncratic compositions have made true believers out of many a new entrant into our collective dungeon over the last decade. The project saw a brief spark in 2017 with the release of the Local Portal demo but has lain dormant since then. Now, the Wizard has shaken the dust from their cloak and cleared the cobwebs from their keys. In 2024 they will grace our stage to weave spells of nostalgia and deep magic as only an architect of aural alchemy can. |

 Our third announcement for the 2024 Northeast Dungeon Siege is another genre originator from the 90s. We are proud to welcome @jaaportit to the stage next year. Hailing from Finland, Jääportit began producing cold, gloomladen atmospheres in a style that would help develop the microgenre we know as Wintersynth. Artist T. M. Mäkelä blends ambience, electronics, and guitars to transport listeners to a forested realm of ice and snow. Jääportit has released 6 full length recordings over their career, ever shifting and perfecting their sound to meld their wide ranging influences into a sonic alchemy that gives uncanny life to their intricate inner world. Join us next year as we take a collective journey into the frostbitten realms of Jääportit, and don’t forget to bring a warm coat. |

I can't wait to catch these artists and also play some music! It'll be my first live show in front of people since before COVID. Got to break off the cobwebs! |
