Perhaps it's a bit narcissistic to have my first post on this board essentially be a shill thread, but trust me when I say that I'm not really all that bashful about it, either. Anyway, my first dungeon synth project is now out the door! I'm not new to music, or even ambient, for that matter, but I'm new to this genre specifically and thought I might give it a go. I was inspired a lot by the minimalist soundtrack to the "The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall," the gritty sound of old DOS games, and the aesthetic quality of works by Lord Dunsany. You may notice a low mechanical whirr droning in the background, along with tape scratches and other artifacts, which are artificially included to sell the idea that this is being played off of a cassette that's quite literally falling apart. Don't be mistaken into believing that this is analogue, however; I used whichever VSTs I could find on my hard drive. My dedication to the craft is not at that level yet, unfortunately. Anybody willing to listen is greatly appreciated! Bandcamp Link

This sounds pretty nice, good job! I love the minimalism. Thanks! I really did want to make it sound like it could be from an actual 90s video game, rather than as a modern work of art.
