Greetings DS enthusiasts, I’d like to share the first release of a project where I plan on collecting my dungeon synth improvisation sessions. Everything has been live played and recorded in one take with a cheap aux input interface, no post processing added. ancientkingdom.bandcamp.com/album/dungeons-iYou are welcome to join and follow me in this and all upcoming dungeon dwelling adventures. (PS: I also have, if interested, a purely Sea/Nautical Synth project with a similar concept behind: ancientoceans.bandcamp.com/album/the-forgotten-islandCheers,

I listened to Dungeons I and The Forgotten Island today and enjoyed them both. Very raw and minimal, but there is a true earnest spirit throughout, and the magical spell of transportation to another world is in full effect! Very nice.

Sounds really nice and old-school. Perhaps your choice of equipment is not bad at all, it gives a really tape like quality to the sound. Look forward to new releases!

Sounds really nice and old-school. Perhaps your choice of equipment is not bad at all, it gives a really tape like quality to the sound. Look forward to new releases! Thanks a lot! The whole idea is to keep these sessions as bare bones as possible: the synthesizer is recorded into a cheap guitar interface, then the final result is directly uploaded without modifications to the sound or mastering. The low quality of the interface generates a background noise and an overall sound degradation which is very similar to that of a tape recorder, and I thought this recreated the “Dungeon” vibe pretty well. Stay tuned for more dungeon dwelling sessions!
