Hi all! Spent some time over the last few years lurking and never posting. I’ve just started a new label to make a home for dungeon synth and black metal projects I make so I figured it’s now the most appropriate time to finally chime in. 2 releases now under the ENTMOOT banner that will be available at Northeast Dungeon Siege, with remaining copies hitting the bandcamp on April 1st. I listened to both Steaming Woodlands – Tomorroworld and Piteous Gate – Demo and enjoyed them both. Tomorroworld is dreamy serene dungeon synth, very classic and natural sounding. And the Piteous Gate demo is just solid black metal, has a great rough but substantial sound, and a lot of the riffs really connected with me (such as 10:00 on Side A, reminds me of early Satyricon, very nice).

Agreed. Piteous Gate is some solid black metal. .It is so refreshing to finally hear some rawer black metal again. As nice as all those recent trends and boundary pushing developments in the genre are, I was so drawn in by the demo and the atmosphere and the feel of it. It's like it has soul, taking me back to my younger years when I was just discovering metal.
