Any fans of Ronnie James Dio here? To me he is really the greatest metal singer. I see him as transcending the genre, and I don't even just mean metal, I mean rock and roll too. The amount of passion that can be heard in his voice has been really inspirational to me, even outside of music. I was fortunate enough to see him perform twice, once solo and once with heaven and hell, and it was absolutely killer. Any favorite songs?

Dio is great. I wouldn't say he's one of my favorite artists, though. My favorite songs of his are probably "Rainbow in the Dark" and "Lady of the Lake."

Dio rules. I got to see him with Motorhead and Iron Maiden back in high school and it was amazing. It's an even more special memory now that Dio and Lemmy are gone.

Dio is absolutely one of my favorite vocalists ever. I love everything he's done, but I have to say his work in Rainbow is my favorite by far. Songs like "The Temple of the King," "Rainbow Eyes," and "Catch the Rainbow" are all absolutely transcendent for me. Of course a lot of credit must go to Ritchie Blackmore for those great releases, but they would not have nearly the impact if not for Dio's amazing vocals.

For me Holy Diver and Heaven and Hell are my favorites, partly because I have the most nostalgia with those, but the rainbow albums are definitely up there. Man on the Silver Mountain is one of my favorites, plus Run With the Wolf.

Man, Last in Line and Dream Evil are so killer! This is definitely making me want to go back and listen to those solo albums again! I remember Killing the Dragon being much better than I thought it would be.

This brings back memories. My father often listened to Dio when I was little. So when I hear Rainbow I get warped back into my childhood again.

Dio is great! I love him. I love his "solo" stuff too, Magica was always one of my big favorites.

Right now I'm on a huge Sacred Heart kick. That album is nearly flawless, to be honest.
