Listening to Vindkaldr - Enchantments of Old Lore for the first time, and fucking wow. This is exactly what I was looking for right now. It's so beautiful and relaxing.

One of my favourite ds releases EVER. Ancient and truly mystical like sub conscious cloud. Hanging for some new material from Vindkaldr, got an album called VII not that long after this came out-which he deleted off Bandcamp for some reason then haven't heard new stuff from him since? This was October 2015 |

I'm listening to fellow Finn Silent Cabin from the Bandcamp page, "Forgotten in a Cold Forest" just ended a moment ago (it was good, traditionally lo-fi sort of grim DS) and "Lonely Mountains" started. This one seems to have the old "very long song, short one, short(-er) and another long one" structure. I have seven wonders of the ancient world on. I listened to Journeys Adrift earlier. I think I prefer the latter but I love them both.

Cloak & Daggere - Dìth Chealtair which I came across thanks to the "Advice on Dungeon Synth" thread here, took a quick listen on Bandcamp and purchased & downloaded immediately! Must be among the best "new" DS things I've heard (which I admit isn't really much), it just sounded so "right".

Journeys Adrift is really underrated but I think it's much better than Seven Wonders. Seven Wonders wasn't all that interesting to me. Journeys had more variation and some weird sounds which appeals to me more. andrewwerdna, I thought I read or heard someone mention you didn't like Journeys that much? |

I've had an oldie-but-goody circulating on my playlist recently and it's really fitting this time of year well. It's Ashmadai - Symphonies for the Kings from 1998. There are some minor "accidents" due to what I assume to be live recording but now that I'm expecting them, they actually enhance the experience. www.youtube.com/watch?v=9fq8uxePzjc |
