Hey good people! You know what this is, a thread to promote and talk a bit about my little musical project Lusitano. All and any album will always be available here.
I was wondering if I should open a thread for my project Lusitano, but why the hell not? The thing is that I don't do music to sell or get rich, the reason I'm releasing music is to push myself to actually finish albums, and if I give myself a deadline and the means to publicly publish it, it forces me to finish the music. What happened is that I started writing music two years or so ago, on and off, and just like my attempts at creating games, I was unable to finish any of it. And so my folder of written music grew and grew and grew until it reached nearly a hundred songs that weren't actually songs, but ideas strung together with no care for aesthetic or coherency or production. This year, 2017, I made my final stand, to run from the endless spirals of creative hell, to actually release an album.
I currently only have one release, The Wizard's Tower. It's an album that I'm immensely proud of, as I've achieved everything I wanted to achieve with it and couldn't be happier with how it turned out. Some may wonder about the noisy, gritty, dusty, and unidimensional production style, and even the volume level, but what you hear is exactly what I intended, no more, no less. These songs were written quite recently, and I like to think they reflect exactly what I had in mind for them. This album or ep, whatever you want to call it, is also quite classical, and not exactly what I would call dungeon synth; if anything, it's my weird attempt to bring a more classical flair to dungeon synth.
Tomorrow, I intend to release my second album, it's going to be about 26 minutes and a concept album. It's entirely different from my first release, simpler, more minimalistic, repetitive, built in an ostinato fashion with fades, clean sound, and with a small story weaved in the songs. It's going to be called "Where Spirits Wander" and tomorrow, you will be able to hear it.
Any question, you're free to ask and I'll gladly answer.
