I absolutely love what you wrote in your review, and I'm really grateful that you've taken the time to do this and thoroughly listen to my album in different manners. I also likes the way you described the music as ''spring time terror'' haha, that made me chuckle a bit. But I do really like that you gave your own thoughts about the songs, as that is what art is supposed to do: make people think. The song titles are merely the first thing that came to my mind when composing this, but it's about the meaning the listener gives to it. Something that made me laugh even more than ''spring time terror'' is the Ghostbusters mention for Secret Rites. I was really confused at first because I couldn't remember a synth intro on the theme from Ghostbusters, but then I listened to the theme and... Holy shit! I actually genuinely almost covered those first few chords! I swear I had no idea... This was really funny to me. Anyway, I couldn't express how grateful I am for this kind review! Thank you!

Haha yes well it is Ghostbusters for just one or two seconds. Great album. I liked your Vagor stuff too. What equipment did you use for making Forgotten Kingdoms? Also I do understand what you mean. Sometimes when I do a track I just do it not thinking about what it is about and then figure out what to name the track after it is done. Other times I know what I am doing before I start composing. The results can differ depending on what method you are using making tracks.

The results can differ depending on what method you are using making tracks. My equipment is actually only my really shitty laptop with FL studio. I can't play piano/keys that well (I do play guitar, drums, bass and I also do vocals but that's not really what I want to use for DS haha). I do have some really nice plugins though. Among my favorites are: M1, Wavestation, MonoPoly and some free plugin called DSK Strings (I believe). Yeah with Cryptic Dungeon I usually start composing and think of some global song titles afterwards, while with Vagor I really want to have something in mind when composing. I'm not sure what works best for me, it really differs I found out.

There are so many possibilities...you could do a ton of compilations in this style, with various themes (horror, 80s, lotr, final fantasy, GoT, etc.)

I just uploaded a new Vagor release. The follow up to Chronicles Of Izanoth I - Teth. This one is called Chronicles Of Izanoth II - Asthor. I used some stuff a little bit differently from the previous release, but you'll have to hear for yourself. Of course I also wrote a small text to go with it on the BandCamp page. vagorsynth.bandcamp.com/album/chronicles-of-izanoth-ii-asthor

Hello Dungeon Synth forum people,
Don't know where to post so I'll just do it here. I'm kind of back on the forum again. Not gonna bother anyone with a long story, but in short: Had relationship problems, had some relapse signs involving depression-related stuff, kind of isolated myself from social life and I didn't (and still really don't) get any satisfaction from making music at this time in my life. I do want to get back to it because it has helped me before. And also since yesterday my father is in hospital with an insanely high blood pressure which nearly became fatal. So yeah, I'm slowly getting things back on track and intend to do some music again in a while. Please forgive my absence.
Cheers!

Sorry to hear about all that. I know I certainly have my own ebb-and-flow of engagement on Social media - I think everyone will be understanding of what sounds like a very understandable isolation. Best to you as you work through all this.

I had a sudden flow of inspiration and recorded a 1-track Cryptic Dungeon EP in one go I will be uploading it to Bandcamp now, and I will use my own painting (which was greatly received in the facebook group, thanks!) for an album cover. For the time being the EP will be available for a free download, probably for a few weeks or so. And I am also planning to self-release a very limited amount of tapes of this release. Stay tuned and I will of course post the bandcamp link when it's done EDIT: Here is the link, and a little info about the track. crypticdungeon.bandcamp.com/album/ataraxiaAtaraxia is a one track EP, which I composed and mixed in one go, in about 3 hours time without any breaks. The track is ~20 minutes in length and is a little different from other Cryptic Dungeon tracks. The track starts out as a really droning and ambient piece, very slowly progressing into something more melodic, to evolve into the Cryptic Dungeon sound I've started to establish in the previous releases in the end. I hope people enjoy this kind of different little EP, please share your thoughts and feedback with me!
