Thanks to the Master Of The Valley's recommendation, just listened to this one, and found out how many years have gone since the last time I headbanged this way for a heavy metal record.... youtu.be/Xtc2Yn6WJQw...maybe since Grand Magus "Iron Will" (10 years ago)?

You should check out some Italian bands like Dark Quarterer (similar to Manila Road), Moon of Steel (like Crimson Glory but better--in my opinion) and Adramelch (a mix of Fates Warning/Warlord/Maiden and a bit of Helloween). Fuck me up with those 80's US Power Metal bands like Manilla Road, Omen, Liege Lord, Crimson Glory, Fates Warning, and Helstar. They had a certain atmosphere that I couldn't find in the European scene.

I'm partial to some power metal... Well since you asked , if you've gone through the must 80s stuff like Helloween, if you need something more like that I think Scanner's Hypertrace & Terminal Earth might be up your alley for oldschool power..

This was deservedly a huge hit back at 1998, even NON metallers listened to it back , such a song, and great album.. But this song is as classic as it can get...

You are right, memory fades , I was kinda lazy and didn't bother to check the year I also liked a lot their Excalibur album in 1999, I listened to it a lot back then, got the atmosphere, but to be honest, I *rarely* listened to it in afteryears, dunno why..

So, did anyone listen to the new Helloween yet? I gave it a few spins, and was kinda disappointed, not that I was expecting a new classic, effort and craftmanship certainly has been put into the new album, but it's just... not good enough, maybe not old Helloween (for me) enough.. I very much enjoyed lately though Ancient Empire's latest and Ensiferum's Thalassic too, those hit a nice string

Kiske sounds like exactly like in Keepers Times, it's amazing to hear Hansen here and there and they play with a joy and conviction like they were in their 20s. Very, very excited to hear the rest.
And it might be one of the best Cover artworks they ever had, too.
