Greetings friends, I am a new dungeon synth artist and have just released my first album, 'Rise and Fall' which you can find on my Bandcamp here: theinquisitor.bandcamp.com/album/rise-and-fallWith my albums I will be exploring fantasy tales using mostly orchestral sounds to tell the tales of fantasy, lore and myths of my own writing. With my EPs I'm looking to explore more general fantasy themes in a variety of styles including ambience, drone etc. I'd love to get some feedback on the project as it develops and hope you guys enjoy the music as much as I enjoy making it. Find me on Facebook here: m.facebook.com/theinquisitorband/(I'm also on Instagram) So please, come journey with me.

The fantasy element of DS is not my personal favourite, but I enjoyed this one!
I'm also getting a slightly nautical feel here, I'm not sure if that was intentional or in fact that may just be me, but it's certainly not a bad thing. I think you're onto something here! I'll jump over and like your Facebook page now too

Thanks. The nautical sound is something I did have in the back of my mind when writing this album. I've lived by the sea my whole life and its definitely had its influence on the music.

Ahh amazing, you definitely have it there, but it's not overbearing at all. It's a real complimenting undertone to the whole piece. I'm looking forward to more mate!

‘October 18th 1301- Researching late into the night I have come across a most intriguing passage. The author promises knowledge of a most unearthly character to those who venture forth into the deserts beyond Edophis. He speaks of a tomb found deep within the caves, far beyond chartered territory, which contains the secrets of the Gods of old. I am curious to find out more but fear this may become an obsession.’
The Book of Naarlotep, coming soon...

‘October 28th, 1301- Digging through the darkest corners of the university library I have come upon more references to the tomb; it is the resting place of the one referred to as ‘Naarlotep’. It is said Naarloptep was a prophet and could converse with the old gods. He was exiled as a heathen to the deserts, never to return to the living world. What knowledge must he have possessed! I must know more.’ The Book of Naarlotep, coming soon…

I'm pleased to announce my split with Balrog - Dungeon Synth, 'Barad Dur'. This split is themed around the Eye of Sauron and the lands of Mordor, combing dark ambient and medieval synth sounds.
Balrog has been a great source of inspiration for me in my time as an artist and was one of the reasons I started producing Dungeon Synth. It has been a pleasure and an honour working him.
The split will be released on Friday 16th March 2018 and will soon be available on a limited cassette from Depressive Illusions.
Come journey with me: Ash nazg durbatulûk, ash nazg gimbatul, Ash nazg thrakatulûk agh burzum-ishi krimpatu
