Hello, We've seen the newer Brutus Greenshield release mentioned in a couple threads here, but wanted to announce it formally. The demo was finished a while ago, but we only recently released our first full length self titled, and hope it brings something new to the table. A lot of the tracks are based around a single sample from other music or movies, and we tried to incorporate as many influences as we could. Hopefully we'll keep a continuous stream of more stuff coming. Thanks. brutusgreenshield.bandcamp.com Attachments:

The full length album is perfect for late night listening sessions I found out recently. I like it a lot, the melodies are very interesting.

Hello, Just updating everyone on the new Brutus Greenshield release, Contours of a Failed Siege. We're attempting a sort of thematic focus on the failure and the ruin of conflict and war. Take a look and let us know what you think! Thanks a lot. Contours of a Failed SiegeAttachments:

Listening now and am really liking it. I love how dynamic the synth timbres are, like it organically jumps between richly-developed patches and chiptune-level rawness. Do you use analog instruments at all?
It's got a very dynamic composition while still being calm and relaxing. Never a dull moment, always something changing.
And the mood is totally on point for that strange, forgotten, deja-vu nostalgia that fuels dungeon magic.

We use a couple pieces of analog gear but a majority of the sounds come from a Korg MS2000. So not quite analog but we found layering different instruments and sounds can help warm things up. Thanks again!

Big thanks to Dutch Pearce at Decibel magazine for including "Contours of a Failed Siege" on their top 5 dungeon synth releases of 2018! There are still a few tape editions left on the bandcamp for those interested. Hails!

I've yet to rank everything since there was so much this past year, but BG always stands out.

Our EP, "Horseman," has just been released on a split cassette with Kolessa's beautiful "Fires Will Sweep The Cities Built On Our Homes" by the always excellent Canto Criptico. Check it out here! www.cantocriptico.com/product/brutus-greenshield-kolessaAnd many thanks to all who support the music, to Adam (the great mind behind nahadoth and Kolessa), and to Sebastian at Canto Criptico.
