This Split containing the track OLD i had written only for this split around the time before COFFIN was released and a cover/interpretation of AZHUBHAM HAANI. My part of this will not get a public digital release, it will just see the light on this split and as a special for the forthcoming box-set. So can you tell us more about the box- set?

On the left it reads "P.S.: The cost of the digital version has been kept high to direct the buyers of this format to the Bandcamp of the bands involved in this project.". Just noting it.

Just noting it. true, but neither projects BC page had the split EP listed. I purchased the CD anyway. Sorry for the confusion. There will not be a public digital release from my part of the split. It will only be available in physical form as a Split-CD from ILLUMINANDI SERVICE and as a special in the upcoming strictly limited box from a raising up underground label. The details about this, as mentioned above, will revealed at the end of this month. Also i generate a bunch of codes for my part of this split which i will send in a few hours after work to all who supported ALFC via bandcamp including a free download. Again sorry for this, i would have preferred to send the codes out before the release of the cd but i did'nt assumed it so early. If anyone is interested in a code for OLD and didn't purchased an ALFC release, please fell free to contact me over bandcamp, mail or whatever and i will send you one as long as stocks last. Thank you Carl for purchasing the CD and your continuous support, this means a lot for me Also again thanks to you all for your support, your overwhelming words and listening to my music. I hope you enjoy this special release and i am looking forward to reveal you at what we are working now here in Austria!

Hey folks! At first i want to thank you all for the support and the kind words you left for this project. This means a lot for me because A letter for Carmilla was a really personal project and contains my deepest emotions paired with my inner fears. As i started this in last autumn, it was just a side project of An Old Sad Ghost, but it evolved quickly to a medium where i was able to express myself in the honest way would was possible. Back there i knew this project will have an end and last night i arrived at this point. As i mentioned on bandcamp, there will be a physical release as a Pro-Tape Box Set expected in the last months of 2018. Released by a new austrian label, but more of this later... There is also a Split on the way with another artist i really appreciate, released by his own label. Containing a song where i go back to the sound of AOSG, and a Black Metal Cover/Interpretation. I will keep you updated. To throw some light on it: The name of this project goes back to the song "Whispers from Carmilla's Tomb" from Lamentation, which was the first Dungeon Synth track i've ever heard. Back then i did not knew the term DS, but this track and the rest of their discography haunted me over more than 8 years. So the letter is not for Le Fanu's Carmilla, it is for Lamentation's Carmilla... My deference to their legacy and the emotions they evoked in my inner depths. For the future i planned to step back, updating my equipment and cultivate my skills on different instruments and mixing/mastering. Again, thank you all. I will also be from now on active on this forum. So please feel free to contact me... aletterforcarmilla.bandcamp.com/ An Old Sad Ghost has been one of my favorite Dungeon Synth artists for a while now, very inspiring. Also, regarding A Letter for Carmilla, Lamentation is one of my favorite albums of the year so far, regardless of genre, and I think Medieval was a masterpiece as well. I absolutely understand the need to take some distance from working and I hope that the break and rest do you well. I absolutely look forward to the work you do in the future. Thank you for your great music. Thank you a lot for your uplifting words. I don't have words to describe my gratitude. I want to thank YOU for your music, for your soul, and for the feelings you awake in "The Canterbury Tales". This is a true masterpiece...

Have listened to 'Autumn' today, three times in a row i think...I'll have to read Carmilla again, thanks to you. The story now seems more melancholic than the first time...

Hope you will enjoy the reading of Le Fanu's work again. Just had to say i listen to "Vast Beneath the Skies" every day while i am at the shop where i work more than once. A great release and one of my favourites this year.
