Can you share which projects you think could be considered Minimal Dungeon Synth and how far do you think it can go before loosing completely the Dungeon character?

This is the first that comes to mind:
Minimal but pleasant. I actually have a better rip that I need to upload. I'll have to look through stuff to think of more.

Also the wonderful Ranseur of course, if you don't mind some noise in your DS:

Then of course there are some of the bedroom projects of late like Owl-Bear and Old Dungeon which are done in a single take. So they may not always be minimal but the limitation is "how much can the artist play in a single take"

Thanks you for all the suggestions, I hope the list continues to grow as I'm particularly interested in this aspect of the style and how varied and depurated it can get. The first that always comes to my mind is Ranseur which is from all the DS I know the one who clearly draws inspiration from the classic Minimalist composers of the late 20th. It looks like Owlbear have just released a new album today on Bandcamp, I didn't know about this project until now but I really dig the oldschool lo-fi aesthetics and sound. owlbearsynth.bandcamp.com/album/lichI searched the DS Archives and the only project I could find tagged as minimalist is Neverlur which I also quite enjoy.

Check Talog if you already haven't, most of my stuff is truly minimal.
Valor - La Lune Noire is old DS that is quite minimalistic.

Here's one that I think gets very close to the line. If it were slightly more minimal it would crossover into dark ambient/drone territory.

I think the more minimal stuff does often branch into more basic ambient territory. Idk, does less melody and more tonal atmosphere make something more minimal? Could be arguable. I posted Ildjarn's Landscapes in the currently listening thread, that one definitely borders on the line between DS and ambient, though I consider it more Winter Synth. Super basic minimal synth stuff, but it does a lot with what little it works with.

I think the more minimal stuff does often branch into more basic ambient territory. True. Restrainment and an emphasis on repetition can be applied to any musical genre in order to explore its core values and expand its limits. Its interesting to observe how much can be left of the original style before hinting or becoming something else entirely. I also wonder how important is context in qualifying something as DS? (As the style grows and becomes more popular I'm sure the TRVE qualifier will soon appear) I've been listening to Consolidate by Anthony Linell and A Candle Illuminates The Dungeon by Blvck Ceiling with all of this in mind. I didn't know their work before hand and found them on Bandcamp while searching through the DS tag. It seems like they're integrating certain elements of DS like cover art and quirky obscure titles to lend some doom and gloom to their own brand of electronic music which could be considered Minimal, especially Linell. If not for these elements these albums would be straight electronica. On the other hand Burzum had already drawn inspiration from Techno to produce tracks like Tomhet and RundtgΓ₯ing Av Den Transcendentale Egenhetens StΓΈtte, not to mention the Metal tracks on those albums. These are intentionally minimal. I think the case of his later prison albums is completely different tough. Just to make it clear, Tomhet, RundtgΓ₯ing and Han Som Reiste are my favourite DS tracks and maybe that's why I'm so keen on that aspect of the style. By the way I think Digre would make some wicked Minimal DS given the limitations of Chiptune allied to his ascetic believes.

Although minimalism seems to mean varying things to different people, I personally associate the term the number of instruments paired with the complexity of the composition being played. With my project π¬ππππππππ I've recorded music that I tagged as minimalist dungeon synth. To quote myself:
So, there you have it. Two synthesizers playing music in the DS style, playing compositions and improvisations that are not applying complex/advanced music theory. I believe the design principle and acronym KISS, which stands for "Keep it simple, stupid" is a great bit of advice to follow when trying to create minimalist music.
