I noticed we had a doom metal thread but not one specifically devoted to funeral doom, so I figured it would be cool to start one. Here are some favorites to start off.
Drown (formerly Slow) - Unsleep
Bell Witch - Mirror Reaper
Forn - The Departure of Consciousness
Funeral Moth - Dense Fog

I’ll be checking this regularly. I love Bell Witch and Mournful Congregation, but haven’t really delved any deeper. So, I’m hoping to find some good stuff in here!

Bosque have been consistently playing a lo-fi version of the genre for years:

Forn - The Departure of Consciousness I was just playing Fórn this morning! Looking forward to listening to these. Nortt is a favorite of mine, Galgenfrist is classic and Endeligt is also great in it's own way.

Used to listen to Funeral Doom pretty regularly. I still do in my alone time, but working in a kitchen around 3-4 other people at most times, Funeral Doom tends to not go over well, so I keep it to myself. Anyways, made this list quite some time ago. I did do a fair amount of exploring in the genre, but i've missed out on a lot of stuff from the last several years. rateyourmusic.com/list/DetoxScission/detoxs-top-40-funeral-doom-albums-of-all-time/As well, some tunes for the thread... Working through the Evoken discography, this is sounding really good to me at the moment.

Woodland funeral doom from Minnesota.
Lesser known but newer Finnish band with some occasionally powerful material.
Criminally underrated Danish funeral doom band with Kim Larsen from Of The Wand And The Moon.

Thergothon released this amazing boxset recently. Sadly you can't get the long-sleeve version anymore but the regular version is just as good. You get some unreleased tracks on a dedicated cassette and all of their released stuff. I can confirm the sound quality is excellent, although the mix of Stream From the Heavens is a little quiet. It's available through Darkness Shall Rise but I've seen it available through a few others too. Highly reccomend getting this just for the interviews and personal history of the band from Skorpio himself. Link here: link

Elements from various genres in the mix, though the band is self described "Floridian Funeral Doom". BM vocals at times, sparse tremolo and solos, synth interludes, it all adds up to something out of the box to my ears.
