Hello everyone! I'd like to introduce my first DS project: UmbríaIs a personal approach to the genre, with predominantly clear sounds and melodic elements. I'm inspired mostly by the figure of the night wanderer and the lone descent into the unknown passages and buried halls from the past. I unconciously tend to identify my songs with places or journeys, all of them surrounded to a greater or lesser extent by some nostalgic touch. Right now I'm in the works of releasing my first demo, which I hope will be ready in a couple of weeks. Here is the first song: soundcloud.com/umbriasynth/umbria-demo-iI invite you to hear it and, since I'm still a learner, I will really appreciate any comment and/or criticism about it (composition, instruments, mix, whatever!). Thank you in advance!

Just listened, and I must say that it was really exciting and hypnotic. I look forward to more of this for sure.

Brilliant composition, calling it a demo doesn't do it justice! I'm curious what VST's / sound libraries you used..really like choice and combination of instruments and quality of sound.

This is REALLY cool work! I really enjoy the various instruments used, however the second track is my fave - haunting.

Thank you all! Reading all these comments is greatly rewarding Brilliant composition, calling it a demo doesn't do it justice! I'm curious what VST's / sound libraries you used..really like choice and combination of instruments and quality of sound. Every VST I've used come from www.vst4free.com/, with the exception of the hapsichord, which I downloaded from sonimusicae.free.fr. I would underline the use of the orchestral packs VSCO2 and Sonatina, from bigcat instruments, and the HG Fortune's tools for synthesised and background sounds. Nevertheless, I'm sure that there are a lot of fantastic free VSTs in this web that I just havn't discovered yet.

Hello all! So, tapes were released around a month ago by High Cathedral Records, and there are 6 left from an edition of 30 copies. I didn't announce the release on this thread, so here are the links: High Cathedral Records on the web and on Bandcamp. I'm very grateful for the nice reception it have had, so I'm working already on a future first album (plus, a couple of side tracks for compilations and so). Have my thanks, and see you beneath the Monastery.

Hello everyone, I have just released a new EP: Follow the ghost hand. This is a slightly darker approach with new classical and vampiric elements. A short story with an unwritten end in the form of a single long track. I had a lot of fun creating it, so I hope you'll enjoy it as well. And, of course, any comment about your impressions will be highly appreciated! umbriasynth.bandcamp.com/album/follow-the-ghost-hand
