With deep regret, I wanted to announce the unfortunate passing of a great friend and an incredibly talented artist. Joseph (Shangri La) was deeply invested in the Dungeon Synth community, and was inspired by many on this board. I just wanted to post his work to celebrate his life and the wonderful music he has given us to enjoy. It would be greatly appreciated if his music was shared amongst others who enjoy kick ass melodies and ambient tunes. I had the privilege of completing an entire song with him, which I will provide a link for. He is gone, but certainly will never be forgotten. Thank you very much, may Shangri La forever live on. shangrids.bandcamp.com/soundcloud.com/user-559947517 soundcloud.com/user-951357224/tremble-the-sands-feat-shangri-la

So sorry to hear this. Was thinking about his project the other day. His music was very original he didn't shy away from innovation or experimentation. Thank you for posting the soundcloud links. If you're a member of the FB group, please share this there as well. chaucerianmyth

Wow this is a shock. I only re-listened to his work last night after coming across a post suggesting I do a split with him, I was even going to contact. Such a shame and talent. Hope he moved on peacefully.

I didn't know about his music, but it's so sad to hear that an artist of the DS community has passed away. Rest in peace, Shangri La.

Thanks for the positive comments everyone. Shangri La will always live on in spirit. He left us a beautiful piece of his creativity and mind that we can cherish for the rest of our days. Please try to show his music to anyone who you think would be interested. I want the whole community to remember him!

Don't mean to double post, but are you part of the group? I don't think they accepted my invitation. If I don't get into the group, do you think you can forward the message to the FB page? Thanks, I appreciate it so much.
