bravemysteries.bandcamp.com/album/dead-kings-dreamNavigating through the crypt, you stumble upon a small, dark water well. Lower your torch to the circular opening and gaze deep into the water. A sparkle! A crown! Leaning in close, you’re flooded with the memory of your eldest altar - wandering through the psychic snake pit of past. That crown, which fell from your skull aeons ago, was the last object in view before falling unconscious. use the bucket and rope to slowly draw up the crown. Plunge your hand in to grab it. Try to draw it near. As it moves from water to air, the gold and metal instantly turn to dust in your hands. a ghost wind sweeps it up and carries it towards the north passage. Make haste and follow it into the moonlit graveyard, for even dust holds a charge.

This has strong vaporwave vibes for me. For a while I've thought any sort of mix between the two genres would be bad because vaporwave is usually very cynical and insincere. And while I wouldn't go so far as to say it has those qualities necessarily, I do think it has one foot in and one foot out, like it's joking around at times, and y'know what it made me laugh so that's forgiven. It's obvious that a lot of work went into this, and it's a very engaging and thought-provoking listen. Seems like it gets more serious as the album progresses, such as less dice-rolling (which I did enjoy the humor of though). Reminds me of Far Side Virtual a bit. It's interesting how at times it sounds somewhat tongue-in-cheek, but at other times it seems very earnest. I like it, but I have a hard time wrapping my head around it on first listen, lots of fresh ideas and engaging details, but it's subversive in a way that I'm not sure I approve of.
Slow Battle is a really cool track.
I like Wyrd North a lot too.

Really appreciate the feedback on this one. It was a very strange project to be a part of. Many of us were contributing, without really knowing what Troy Schafer was doing with what we sent him.

This one was really interesting. When I first saw it in Bandcamp, I thought it was a legit D&D podcast. I get late night game night vibes from this, people hanging out and having a good time. I'll need to listen to it more.
