...come on, this is late Burzum, not comfy Not bad stuff, indeed. hΓΆhΓΆ just listened to this second EP: unemployedunclebob.bandcamp.com/album/another-failed-epand yes, this one has personality and great quality! There's also something that makes me think of an experienced composer...I mean chord progressions and stuff...

This list was posted on bandcamp daily today. It is interesting to see comfy synth get some 'mainstream' coverage somewhat outside of the dungeon synth community itself. Thought it was worth posting here, seems like a decent intro to the sub-genre. daily.bandcamp.com/lists/comfy-synth-list

I honestly think that there could be more potential in comfy synth but it's like stuck being a tongue-in-cheek play on DS. Most CS is that one guy making rather boring novelty EPs, but what would it be like without the novelty aspect? Grandma's Cottage is a bit more serious, if not heartfelt, which I still think is the best iteration. Spell Leech also put out a rather dark take on comfy synth recently with the 'Morning Stranger' EP. I don't know, does anyone else see this going anywhere?

THanx a lot for the link, quite an interesting thread with some suggestions, since I don't follow at all the genre/tag... But what caught my interest is that behind Tiny Mouse (of whome I liked 4-5 songs from what I've listened already) is a "fairly well known member of a Swedish metal band".. So, anyone, any ideas, hints or more info ?

Spell Leech also put out a rather dark take on comfy synth recently with the 'Morning Stranger' EP. Haha. Although it barely fits in any genre, I also thought this shared enough traits (theme, cover, lead voice's melodies) to potentially wear the comfy synth tag.

I don't know, does anyone else see this going anywhere? I'm doubtful if it could find a foundation having merely been a tongue-in-cheek play on dungeon synth. There again, the Internet lets all kinds of weird things happen.
