Greetings! I've attempted to make some dungeon synth, as I'm huge fan of summoning and DVKE, but result appears to be pretty far from it (as I can hear it). I'm not trying to sound exactly the same tho Therefore, I will be glad to hear any feedback about this track, and will highly appreciate any advises regarding how to make it better. soundcloud.com/paltoskill/granite-halls-demo-5/s-24wsVVISrAb - there is the track Oh, and I'm sorry for lack of mixing there, I do not have hardware and skills to do it properly, so I desided to leave it like this.

I think the song is quite charming like it is. Gives me some feelingof adventure awaiting mixed with some fine portions of melancholy. As for the mixing, I'd not care too much. DS can be very raw and lofi, that makes up a big chunk of it's charm. If you want to change something about the song, I'd say the end is a bit abrupt. (But maybe thats just me.) All in all I think you are on a good way!

I think there something that my work might missing, I can't put my finger on it tho.

Maybe i'm just a sucker for this amazing plucked instrument, but i loved it. Great instrumentation in general. Definitely brings this Granite Hall to life. I think the ending is good. Maybe i'd experiment a bit of mixing, cleaning the instruments to be more "separate" (in according to the genre said been inspired by) but still it's very charming the way it is. It's all a matter of personal taste i guess. Keep the music coming!

Indeed quite a nice sound Leyland, surely in the right track , interesting and flew along nicely without unpleasant surprises.. Be sure to release some stuff on youtube when you feel like it!!
Also, quite a find the Minas Morgul demo of Summoning you posted in the appropriate thread, after all these years I hadn't figured out the demo could be different (and indeed so different) from the LP versions, great one, thanx for sharing! Regards!
