Long time since I haven’t posted here but, as some of you might already know, I’m back with a new album after my last release from 2018. My new album « IMAGINATION NEVER FAILS » will be released around mid-November. For several months, I’ve spent all my free time working on a carefully crafted piece of music that I’m looking forward to share with you all. The Kingdom of Erang is all my life and I put everything I have into it ! This album is my most evocative to date and I wanted it to be very « visual » : a celebration of the power of the Imagination! Each track was built like a mini-movie taking place in a much bigger picture within my own world. Musically, it is a mix of many of my childhood & teen influences: some are obvious, others more burried... In some ways, it also has a strong 70’s atmosphere, overall. I’ll post updates here and, to all of you who follow and support my musical journey for all those years : the Kingdom is ours!

Thanks! I wouldn't say it's complicated: it's just that I like to add new layers to each new records, in order to make something new & fresh for me as well as for the listener.

If you have it on digital pre-order on Bandcamp please post so I purchase asap!! Can't really post how much I appreciate your stuff, I guess you probably don't wanna read praise n stuff, but still, your music along with of course Depressive Silence's II/Mourning was what really got me and drew into the world of DS!! Can't look forward enough, please keep us updated, instant purchase and again, hope you explore both (maybe in different albums) your DS abilities AND your Synthwave too, you are king man!! Respect!!

Funny that you're speaking about "DS+Synthwave" because, in some ways, you might find something like this in some of the tracks from the new album: very old school 70's synth arpeggiatos in some of them  |

I really like the cover artwork Erang and I think it completely captures the 70s fantasy vibe you were describing earlier, great choice/art!! While I prefer the way you've done it already with "distinct" DS or Synthwave albums, I'm eager to discover what you've been brewing mixing them in one album as I get it!!  Keep us updated with the date Erang, again, endless respect and support for your work!! |

Indeed, the album is now out on bandcamp: erang.bandcamp.com/album/imagination-never-failsHere is why I've decided to release it earlier (it is a copy/paste from my FB page): " I’ve decided to finally release my new album yesterday: initially, I wanted to wait until mid-November to release it and tease it before but, due to a new lockdown coming on in France this evening and with all the troubles worldwide, I thought that maybe now more than ever, we will need some escapism for the mind during the following days and weeks…
We are living in strange times and we all face different problems in our lives & countries: my music will never change anything about that but if, for a brief moment, it can take your mind far away to wander to Another World, Another Time, then my job would have been done.

Wow, super unique and weirdly positive atmosphere created here. Uncommon in a lot of DS. The vocal samples are such an inspired touch. You can definitely tell this is a deeply personal creation. Perfect blend of classic style and modern innovation.

Hey Erang, after many repeated listens I'm confident enough to say that your last one is definitely amongst your best of your albums, and that's saying a lot about its quality!! The intro song while nice got me anxious if samples would be overused as well as the noise-retro effects and stuff, but the album evolves completely naturally into something both epic and as DS as it gets but also progressive and with lots and lots of things to uncover notice, but above all this is a pure good one to listen top to bottom and enjoy!! Congrats man!! By the way , I say you also posted another video "New World Slave" which, as the previous ones is (again) really an art on its own!!! No more words needed, a must see and listen!! And last but not least, I saw your post on FB pages about the "Far Away" videoclip visual references (Atari STE, PAnzer Dragoon, Snes - JRPGs), great ones, I noticed even more like the Dungeon Master corridors reference, great stuff man!! I think it would be great to also post your videoclips in the big thread we have here : dungeonsynth.proboards.com/thread/746/ds-music-videos?page=2 , if you forget anyway I will since really some awesome work on them too man!!
