Hi everyone,
Hope it's ok to post my album here as a noob. I'm from Dublin, Ireland and have just released my first DS project (or maybe it's more dark ambient to some). I've released it through Bandcamp, but also have uploaded the full album to Youtube, the idea behind the project was to create a painting for each track as it's a concept album, and needed the visual element.
Hope you check it out and leave some feedback, and I look forward to exploring this forum further and hearing new stuff.

Hi Olc, I've just had a brief listen to some of the tracks off of 'In The Shadow of The Wolf' (I will give it a full listen when I can find the time), and so far I think it's a solid debut album. I'd say it is leaning more towards the Dark Ambient side of things, though that is no problem, as there is considerable overlap between Dungeon Synth and Ambient as genres, I'd go as far as to say Dungeon Synth is a form of ambient music. Nonetheless, it seems as though you've put together a great first album. The individual artwork for each of the tracks is a nice touch and reminds me of the promotional art for Burzum's first Dungeon Synth album 'Dauði Baldrs', as each track had artwork illustrated for it. I'll give your album a full listen when I can and I will be sure to keep an eye out for future releases. Keep it up.

Greetings Olc! Just finished to listen to your album, and I think it's a great debut! Paintings perfectly fits the mood of tracks, creating dreamy-haunting atmospheres, which is my favourite. Thanks for sharing

The project started off a bit more Dungeon Synth, with more of a medieval/fantasy sound, but after I had done 6 or so tracks I noticed I had 2 different sounds going on, one dark ambient and the other more traditional Dungeon Synth, so I split them into 2 projects instead of having an inconsistent sound. I think I'll make the next Olc album less ambient and more percussive as I have far better sounds to work with now, but I'm happy enough with how it turned it, and it was nice to just get something out finally.

Glad you like the paintings, the album is a concept album about the hunting and killing of the last wolf in Ireland, which happened hundreds of years ago near where I grew up. Maybe the concept was a bit ambitious, as I think it did kind of stifle me in the end, but I think I will carry on the artwork for each song approach on future releases, but with more of a vague concept!
