So to advance the thread : Just gone through this one aldeth.bandcamp.com/album/old-spirit , that has got no attention I think, a 14 minute kind of dronish sound that remained interesting even after more than few repeats!! Check it out if you're into the style for certain... Thanx for leting me know, I liked Conquest already, good project, dronish but strong medieval vibe to me. After Old Spirit by Aldeth goes Blind Eternities by Gatewatcher.

Excellent choice and great album, definitely needs some more attention from what it has got on the BC page.. ]Thanx for leting me know, I liked Conquest already, good project, dronish but strong medieval vibe to me. After Old Spirit by Aldeth goes Blind Eternities by Gatewatcher. Gatewatcher's album wasn't on my radar , I will check it out and report accordingly , thanx for the rec.. As for Aldeth I had a mixed feeling with Conquest having some good moments but I much prefered the second droney one , despite that I usually prefer nowadays my DS shorter , which makes it even more interesting, glad you enjoyed the recommendation!! I also enjoyed the first half of it, the first two songs, but I found the second side if I may(3rd and last song), to be dragging to long really... Valid recommendation, a must check for sure!! np (kinda late to the party but : ) ulkmusic.bandcamp.com/album/ulk-iiExcellent stuff really leaning on the ambient but NOT too ambient side of things, I could say it's even relaxing really and emits tranquillity vibes.. Very solid one in this style...

Very solid one in this style... Yeah, I completely agree actually. First two tracks are really cool, so I found it odd that the last track just kinda went in a sort of drone-y and uninteresting direction compared to the first half. Definitely looking forward to seeing what else this artist does, though, because there really were some cool ideas on this album.

excilibrius.bandcamp.com/album/dragon-knightThis one is more into the medieval fantasy atmospheres than classic DS, full of melodies sometimes even bringing relaxing (Carribean?) tunes.. Kinda more into the Brandon and Derek Fiechter style, but, man, this is all gold, I really really recommend this to anyone looking for some relaxing fantasy themes.. I see in my logs that I didn't appreciate his first one, I also haven't listened at all to his second, I missed that one, but this one definitely is a gooooood listen , no chance of disappointment, it didn't get old with me after many many repeated listens

Youβre right, very enjoyable, and to me I am reminded of Chrono Cross soundtrack with the vaguely pan-African and Celtic influences in the arrangements.

@ ChaucerianMyth I hope you liked it as much!! Also, the Fiechters besides another mention again in this forum in another thread, haven't got the attention they should from the audience/community, they definitely have more than enough material, strong enough too to last for some good time... I hope more people take a look into their backlog.. @ Nahadoth, glad we agree, it's interesting to see also what terms are used to describe the other elements of it, I thought of vague Carribean, you of vague African or Celtic but whatever its influences are, its solid stuff and that counts... Now Playing : Armsman Commander - Obedience swallowedkeyproductions.bandcamp.com/album/obedience .. Primitive, straight to the point and mesmerizing war tunes .. Really effective. very dry atmospheres are evoked here..

Stormcrow never disappoints, I will wait for Bandcamp page to open to check it out!! Thanx for link Curwenius ! At the moment I'm listening to Serpent's Isle latest "Legends of the Ancient Bay" serpentsisle.bandcamp.com/album/legends-of-the-ancient-bay and this is some solid case stuff!! It starts off dreamy slow and more into the "sea" or maybe ethereal or ambientry theme but then later into songs it develops indeed into oldschool DS, finishing with a great outro!! Totally recommended, in fact I was checking my logs and it seems I also enjoyed greatly his releases "Quiet Lakes" and "Tales of the Frigid.." so I think maybe with a 3/4 strong solid albums in just a year is worthy of deep respect, great stuff to be found on these three albums.. I even searched the forum here and no related post so they've gone unnoticed in the forum, pretty worthy of attention!!

Fen Walker - The Totem wilds call thy name fenwalker.bandcamp.com/album/the-totem-wilds-call-thy-nameThis is very interesting and grows a lot after a couple of listens, somehow it's like it has a narrative in its music... Dunno if it's the long title tracks but indeed the songs seem like following an invisible story!! Recommended listening!!
