I know there are synths that sound like strings, or brass, or wood wind, but I want that vintage synth sound that is often times found in Synthwave, amongst other sounds from that genre.
I use FL Studio, and am very broke, so analog synth, as much as I'd like to have it, is out of the question at this time.

U-HE Tyrell is probably the best free option, but GMS (which comes stock with fl studio) has a special place in my heart

I only use hardware so I've never used it. But Oscillian released an entire album using only this synthesizer. oscillian.bandcamp.com/album/charlatanism

Another vote for u-he Tyrell N6. I just finished an album using only that synth and I loved its sound.

The PG-8X is pretty good but a bit weird weird to understand at first, but you could always just download a preset bank if you wanted to.

OB-Xd is somewhat free emulation of the classic Oberheim OB-X. Very good for synthwave etc sounds. It's free for non-commercial use, otherwise you have to buy a license: www.discodsp.com/obxd/There's also Vital, which is probably the most powerful free synth available at the moment. It's very modern in UI and in the engine, but you can do oldschool-sounding stuff just fine as well: vital.audio/

If you haven't been keeping up, Spitfire LABS has put out a couple of really great free plugins with some really wild origins that sound like they're just made for doing dungeon synth:
