As of yet, I just put on these two albums when I'm at the gym; Indomitable, and To Those Who Were Vigilant
The aesthetics of both really lend themselves to wanting to push yourself on and surpass your previous sets. The bonus track, Friedrich Nietzsche, on the latter album, is especially good.

Interesting discussion.. As other people, I find some genres to be more fitting different times/activity/weather than other.. And while I find Dungeon Synth to be more than stellar and great while studying/reading, doing house chores or simply relaxing at night or day drifting in my own thoughts, workout is probably on of the few things DS won't work.. I'm probably spoiled of being used to listening to metal or high bpm electronic music while doing excercise or activity requiring some energetic commitment.. If I had to pick something out, from metal side of things it'd probably be either some classic stuff like probably Megadeth's Rust In Peace or any pick from early era Metallica.. I know it sounds too common but metal is great for giving you a good vibe and rhythm to work out..
If though you would really insist that only DS is available to listen at the workout place, I'd put on something epic or battle inspiring stuff, I guess Mortiis and projects in the same vein will support mentally some hard physical work too.. But again, I'd go instead of DS with metal or high bpm Trance stuff to feel the right amount of energy I want..

My work out mix is pretty much exactly as you say, lots of high energy, fast paced, heavy music, from metal to electronic. The two albums I mention here are the only DS I have in that playlist. They're not fast, or high energy, but mid paced, and brooding. Yet, somehow that works for me just as well as Zeus by Tevvek, although in a different, ineffable way. I think it's largely due to the theme's of those two albums, seeing my toils at the gym through the lens of a man who is totally alone, and has to dig down deep, and keep pushing on.

I will listen to various rough drafts of my own music when I exercise (running more than lifting etc). Helps me focus on the music from a different angle than sitting inside at the computer or whatever. A very important part of my own editing process.

You may be looking for something like this: Siege Golem - Enter the Golem. Unfortunately this more aggressive sub-genre of DS is really full of very questionable people. Even more like there are in the Black Metal community... Because of this I won't recommend more artists/albums. But Siege Golem should be save... at least as far as I can tell. I hope this post was kinda helpful.

The only thing I find questionable is ones desire to hold back potentially inspiring work. I wanna hear more aggressive DS.

I'm going to assume he means questionable as in fascist, racist, glorifying violence against others, or outright pedophiliac, which isn't a 'questionable element' I was ever expecting to enter the DS scene, yet there was recently an album that took its name and cover art from a serial child rapist being highly praised by some around here, in the FB group, and on the DS subreddit. To stay on topic, Summoning would probably be great to work out to. I don't like working out with headphones in/on though, so I usually just put up with whatever noises are around me.

I'll check Summoning out. I can't stand the gyms taste in music. Nothing about it is inspiring at all, which is, in my opinion, the highest providence an artist can strive to manifest. But that music, I just find it genuinely repulsive, it's so clean and safe and commercial. It is, all of it, the music of modernity, which I hate so much. I can't work out to that. So headphones are a must. I see. Being edgy, whether ironically or sincerely, doesn't seem to be all that out of order in the DS community, though I wouldn't find it at all difficult to view pedophiliacs, and those who associate themselves knowingly and willingly with such beings, with extreme prejudice.

The only thing I find questionable is ones desire to hold back potentially inspiring work. I wanna hear more aggressive DS. Here is the thing about this style music: It started out in a local German BM community. There is a lot of edgy stuff going on there. I don't mind the glorification of drug abuse that much, mostly because I think it is so much over the top that they can't mean it serious. But you don't have to look for very long to find hidden nazi symbols on their album covers, websites etc. I think at least the core circle of people surounding this particular style try to push an agenda with their music and therefor they will get no public exposure by me. The artist I've recommented to you is from Rusia and therefor not directly connected to this people here in Germany. He also doesn't use the edgy visual aesthetics this people use. Therefor I belive he doesn't share the agenda. Maybe he hasn't got the context when he discovered this music or even better willingful decided drop it for his own work.

We kinda got off-topic but I see all the (damn right imho) reasoning of windgeist of not promoting , "questionable" people to put it mildly.. Of course, as said already, like in Black Metal, or even Metal, or really anywhere, corrupt people/insane evil/sick fucks will always try to push their sick mind shit.. But the minimum that can be done is to simply ignore these lowlife p.o.shit till they die or get tired and move on ... I'm not aware of the specific one engraven is mentioning, but I think sometimes a strong statement against sick fucks is needed or else they get more and more offensive.. Still, they might appreciate the publicity so again, for these scums the minimum thing anyone with a sane mind can do is simply not to mention such sick "music" , so at least people, especially newcomers but also experienced (in similar eg. BM shit) listeners don't accidentaly listen/bump on them etc etc..

My album Panzram was in no way, shape or form attempting to glorify the life and deeds of Carl Panzram. Bloodsoaked Flail's aim is to showcase the darkest and most hateful aspects of the human animal, and Panzram is a prime example of that. He was a piece of shit and deserved to be executed a hundred times over for his deeds and the world is a better place without him in it.

"world is a better place without him in it." then don't put his face and name on your albums There are a billion ways to explore the darkness of humanity. Slapping a child rapist's face and name on your album is the laziest of them.

No. Evil deserves to be brought into the light and examined so that it will never be forgotten. Are you saying that every documentary or book published on a serial killer, pedophile, rapist or tyrant should not exist, given that it has their name and face on the cover?
