What games were made by dungeons artists, feature music from dungeon synth artists, or were promoted as being connected somehow to dungeon synth? I'm only aware of two so far, The Longing and The Secret of Darkwoods. I played a bit of The Longing and it seemed good but very slow-paced and sleepy, so I might need to wait until the right mood comes along for that. I haven't played The Secret of Darkwoods yet, but I intend to soon, it looks cool. Any thoughts on these games or know of any other games with a DS connection? There's a bit of discussion about The Longing in this old thread: dungeonsynth.proboards.com/thread/779/longing-pc-dungeon-synth-ost

Have you taken a peek at Moonring? It has a 100% DS soundtrack written by me, Khand and Baddoar and the OST is getting a release on Heimat Der Katastrophe fairly soon. The game is free, but huge and becoming oddly popular. store.steampowered.com/app/2373630/Moonring/

madraykenHey, I put in a few hours with this game and still feel like I've barely scratched the surface. It seems very deep and I can definitely see myself getting lost in it. Great pixel graphics, writing, interface, systems, tutorials, and especially the music. I'd say it has a dungeon synth sort of atmosphere for sure, not just because of the music but the entire vibe of the game.

I know it's a bit of a cop-out answer, but I've been really getting into older RPG games recently in order to scratch the itch you kind of identify. I've been playing Isles of the Calif, which is an old-school style dungeon RPG but with a pretty expansive overworld and a tonne of charm. It reminds of some Desert Synth and the soundtrack is very dungeon synth-esque although it's not quite there. It's also a really good game, though, with a tonne of atmosphere. The other game I've been getting into is Elder Scrolls Arena. The soundtrack is essentially dungeon synth as its from the era that many dungeon synth artists emulate. It's a pretty fun game as long as you're willing to put aside modern conveniences, which is honestly not as hard as it sounds, its obviously part of the charm.

Moonring is an amazing game. I really love what Fluttermind was able to do with the world building and overall vibe of the game.
To answer OP: I think we can all reference games that have music that give off DS vibes in some way or another, but overall I think the list you have (coupled with Moonring) is about all I know that are directly connected to DS artists. I'm personally surprised that there aren't more, but it'll probably change. The video game music world is very competitive and there are so many aspiring composers who want to get their feet wet with it. To see an AAA studio (Hollywood budget games) have a DS artist do music may be out of the question at the moment, but I think we will see more DS artists involved with indie games. I would love to see it. There are certainly some talented composers under the DS umbrella that could easily do music for games. Though not directly related to DS, I would like to point out that some chiptune artists have made it big through video games and then movies. Disasterpiece, for example. Did solo chiptune albums which were praised, then did music for indie games like Fez... The next thing you know he does the soundtrack for the horror movie It Follows, which did pretty well a few years back. I love seeing musicians from music scenes cross over to other media.
Edit: I said a 'few years back' w/regard to It Follows. I just checked and it's from 2014. Where does the time go?? 😳

I've not had this much fun with a game in such a long time. The atmosphere and sense of exploration is perfect, absolutely nailed it. Thank you! c:

ah bummer for me, it's Windows only - it looks amazing though, and the soundtrack snippets from the video are awesome.

Just remembered a heartfelt point & click adventure that could perhaps fit this thread as well. Oknytt is made by a small Swedish indie group and on this one they deliver a mysterious and beautifully crafted tale inspired by Nordic folklore. The style and vibes are spot on, and the very nice soundtrack completes the charming atmosphere like a... well, a nose on a troll.
