Hey all. Just wanted to share some progress with you. As said before we got a lot of material and this forum contributed so many unique tracks, we had the opportunity to keep all of the forum tracks together which turned into an hour of unique tracks all based on a theme. The cover was done through a contact by the FB admin with the intention of illustrating a gathering of hooded figures in the woods. Some questions you might have.
When is this being released?
If everything goers correctly with leveling and uploading I hope to have this released by March 20th which is the Spring Equinox.
Where is it being released?
We are going to keep all volumes and future volumes on a bandcamp page (https://dungeonsynthcompilation.bandcamp.com/) and just add to it. These compilations will always be free to download and we will discuss options of always making it free for people.
What about the other volumes?
Wand & Shadow is being illustrated by Canrith at the moment and also being ordered by tracklist. It consists of a bunch of other artists from the FB group with some new and old tracks. Ethereal Dungeon Tales is also being worked on with the artwork still in talks. It is my hope to get all of these volumes out within the next month. Ideally Keepers would come out March 20th, Wand April 3rd, and Ethereal April 17th. We will see how that works. As for future volumes, this was fantastic and I would love to see this forum do the same thing even with their characters as we could have a collaborative story through music. Perhaps the next volume will illustrate the first spell they each cast, or the object they present to the council, or even their backstory.
Is there any possibility of a physical release?
Why yes. I was just discussing this with some body but this will be after we release the digital version. there are of course rights and discussions to be had before doing that sort of thing but it would be fantastic i this thing came out on tape.
Feel free to ask any questions or raise concerns. This whole thing was new to everyone it seems but if things go correctly future volumes will be easier to produce and there could be a whole library of compilations for new and established artists to give back to the community.
