**listening to the-sorcerer-and-the-serpent**
First track. It was by listening to your split with nazgal dracul that I understood what you was doing and my ears and mind adapted to it and I was able to not only listen to your tracks but also enjoy them. There is no ear abuse in the noise even if the amplitude seems to raise throughout the track I think because I have grown familiar with the droning static and tones. The melodies change from one play to another that sounds most hypnotic or maybe retiualistic sounding. I like this one.
2nd track. here the noise is more on top than in the last track but it is more organic. There is still not too harsh like most japnoise and most newcomer artist to power electronic tend to make it. I realy do not like when noise artist makes there tracks so rumbeling and hightuned over the top destructive double dist feedback. So I like this as it feels organic, some of the sounds you are doing sounds a lot like a special sound we developed in my town some 15 years ago. I connected from a tapedecks audio out to a channel input on my mixer and connected from the headphone out to the tapedecks rec-in and then played with the HQ-nobs to make a controlable feedbak. that sound makes me think about agressive mosses growing on wood and stone. here the melodies is a compliment sound to the main noise and it grows into eachother. Also so far I enjoy this album.

I probably won't perfect it for years, or maybe ever, but I enjoy it and enjoy refining my technique. Thanks for the listen!

Apparently Tyrannus uses a no-input mixer - which causes for all kind of feedback uncontrollably. At one point during my brief flirtation with noise I was using various noisemakers (percussive) with contact mics attached, and running them through pedals to create soundscapes. Nothing I ever made was along the lines of HNW, but it was definitely very noisy ambient. I'd say it's semi-controllable. I can craft the general tone but it can spiral out of control and and produce some harsh shrieking which I reign in but keeping the sounds in a typically lower EQ register. I'd describe it as like playing music on a living creature, in that you can do your best to get it to behave a certain way but it has a mind of its own that sometimes takes overWow. Just wow. That's the organic type of sound that I'm looking forward to achieve with Kasjchq. The idea that the music has a soul on it own and can grow from it, somehow "independent from the creator".

Oh one other quick comment: I posted a bit of the sort of narrative that surrounds my work, and some of it appears within the description of my new album. Now for a question: Would anyone be interested in me putting together a storybook which depicts the life and times of Einhorn, i.e. the hooded figure on the cover of my latest release? He is the same dark herbalist that appears in the first DS compilation, if that adds further intrigue. I might include cover art and previously unseen artwork to accompany the words. Let me know if anyone is interested! I'm interested in this. I have yet to listen to your very recent album, but I like the artwork.

-Soporific Spells of Malozite- I am at work so I can only listen to mono in my right ear so it doesn't sound as dynamic as it should. this track builds up slowly and finds its place after jsut under 3 mins and then the melodies merges with the noise. nice. but then it wanders of in new melodies and motions. a rhythm appears when synthtrack starts playing over the background noise but this patch is lost as the song goes back to its original droning of low murmuring feedback and tunes. this feels very live and searching. why has not ARCHAIC TRIAD reviewed this yet? this is gold material.

Ancient Masonry pt. IV
I do not remember how The Tyrant's Towers Masonry track sounded like. probably something similar. this track finds a pretty clean base tone that merges wih the statics in a way that it is hard to know if it is a synth or feedback until it changes it pitch and goes away as an organ playing something slow and dungeonlike. I am glad you made this album. oh here comes a piano. there is alot of things happening here. if I was forced to come up with some criticism I would say that the tracks could be more unidirectional in its image instead of being so very varied. but then I do like how they are formable and varied sprawling in different directions even as single tracks. great album.

Short review of The Sorcerer and the Serpent:
The album seems seems like a continuation of The Tyrant's Tower style of Dungeon Noise (as it is also a continuation on theme). This time, however, I see (even) more experimentation, for example in the third track, and I was surprised with how happy the first track sounds. As far as I remember I hear more variation on the melodies than on previous works, although they still get repetitive at times (which is not a bad thing). The noise seems a bit harsh in the beginning of the album, as it usually happens with Einhorn, but soon the ears get used to it and I could start to enjoy the journey soon. The noise with its uncontrollable organic nature is what brings the complexity to the record, making it dynamic, and is overall well balanced with the synth part. My favourite track is the last one, which follows the style of the Ancient Masonry series and which I perceived as the most atmospheric one; it contains interesting passages of organ and piano.

I've had a few listens to Tyrannus - Kingdom and I must say I was pleasantly surprised, I liked it despite being very cautious beforehand of the noise tag and your Einhorn's compilation experience.. In my opinion the presence of noise is very very subtle in this release imho which makes it great and I'd like to propose it to anyone.. (that Einhorn comp song imho again had too much of a noise)..
Nice..

I have made a new demo under the name Tyrannus, though it's different from other Tyrannus material before it. For this release I ran keyboards and vocals through heavy distortion to create a droning, blissful hellscape. I made 5 tapes for it as well. This is sort of an attempt at black ambient and/or like a new take on dungeon noise so let me know what you think!

You have good intuition when to just drag something out into a drone. Just jam on that gritty, befouled noise. Thought the harsh noise vocals work particularly well in A Funeral; this & the two Black Suns are my favorite at first glance. Do you have any ideas of the art or lore on this?

Well as far as lore goes I would just say this demo had a kind of loose theme sort of independent of stuff I've done in the past. I wanted to make something more depressive, and a bit more black metal in nature. It sort of loosely depicts a narrative of me dwelling as a ghost of a person, walking amongst the tomb stones wanting to die and be buried underfoot. I liked using a lot of descriptions of colors and vivid imagery to sort of paint that picture of me flitting about the graveyard. The last track is actually sort of a climax and describes my blissful death in the middle of a beautiful, sunny field. That track is actually kind of supposed to resemble like multiple organ failure and ultimately kind of flatlining into just the noise of death. Overall the whole demo is only loosely conceptual and is mainly just supposed to conjure bleak and depressive feelings in this sort of sunny and summery way. Sort of a dsbm Summer in my Veins take on dungeon synth. I'm thinking come winter or something I'll make sort of a companion release but we'll see
