Troilus is one of my favorite songs from not only this release but songs you have done. It waivers between regal, majestic, and melancholic all at once.

Believe it or not, that was the most difficult song on the album to get right. I must have scrapped and rewritten it 5 or 6 times before getting it right.

Just started listening to this today. I'm a few minutes into Enrapturing Beauty and I actually feel excited. Incredible musicianship (those piano lines at the beginning of Enrapturing!), varied influences, doesn't bore, further pushing the boundaries of DS. Incredible work. I patiently await a physical release of this.

Incredible musicianship (those piano lines at the beginning of Enrapturing!), varied influences, doesn't bore, further pushing the boundaries of DS. Incredible work. I patiently await a physical release of this. Thank you so much! That one was a blast to write! I'm a pretty huge jazz fan, but I made a big effort to keep a lot of my jazz-y urges out of the Canterbury Tales when I was writing it because "that's not Dungeon Synth," but then I realized the amazing thing about Dungeon Synth is how it's so diverse, and how artists keep pushing the boundaries of the genre. I came to this realization shortly before writing the bulk of this new album, and I think it shows. Enrapturing Beauty is a special one to me because it's got some hefty jazz influence but it's also definitively a Dungeon Synth song (complete with a weird ambient drone section in 9/8 time)! I'm really glad you liked it! Also, there's definitely going to be a physical release at some point, I'm just not sure who's going to be doing it yet!

listening to Troilus and Criseyde right now! So far so good! Thank you! I'd love to know what your thoughts are after listening! I thought it was great! While maybe not as vast and sprawling as Tales it's certainly easier to digest in one go, and possesses the same great songwriting. Pandarus is probably my favorite track.

Going through on my second listen on the new release now. You've still created an exciting and cinematic listening experience, but it's broken down to less than a third of the playing time as The Canterbury Tales. Being able to refine your work like that, in my opinion, is pretty skillful. Very nice job!

nebulosa and Tyrannus, thank you bot very much for your kind words! I really appreciate it! I also just wanted to pop in and say that I finally finished that cover of "Voice of the Soul" by Death (I don't remember if I first brought that up in this thread or another one). I think it turned out pretty well!

I should check that thread out!

Different vibe to your other albums. Did Canrith design this? He did! And I couldn't be more happy with the design! It's amazing! Canrith always does an excellent job with these things, though, so it was no surprise! And yes, I wanted the album to have a bit of a different vibe than my others. It's fun to experiment with new style and sounds!

This is insane. I really like the rough digital sounds, treading a bit into some more 4th and 5th gen JRPG VST territory here without being too game-y. Looking forward to the release!
