Besides music in general (listening, not creating, though) and reading a lot, I am quite into bodyweight exercises on gymnastic rings. No, despite the rings not in a prof. gymnast way - I use them more as a tool to make the classic bodyweight exercises harder. So I train mostly strength and not skill focused on them. In addition to "just" being a hobby, this also helped me some years ago to get rid of back pain (office job based back pain ). Apart from that I also love to create logo stuff. Most of them are just for fun under my personal "Bulletride / Bulletrider" moniker (an alias I got myself nearly 20 years ago ). These logos are drenched in 80s fluff like chrome and laser, so to say breathing all my childhood memories. Every now and then a metal band or synthwave project contacts me as this era appeals to them so much, too, and they love to see their music under such a visiual banner. Lately I also played around with b/w graphics and plan to do more in that way. Here are some examples of my works and if you're interested you can see more on my deviantartpage... definitely did not expect to see the iron kobra logo in this forum

windgeist nice, thanx for sharing, I followed you on twitch, roguelikes is always an RPG subgenre I check on throughout the years... Of course I enjoy the most the marriage of Roguelikes and Hack n Slash (a la Golden Axe) that is the whole of Diablo series ... Now that I got me a new PC and was able to play Diablo 3 after a long time and having some GR 130 rifts felt definitely great... koselmond : Why , what's up with "Iron Kobra"? Never heard of the term really so googling led to Encyclopedia Metallum and seems like a normal metal band, nothing unusual, we have lots of metal threads here so maybe we're missing something ?

I didn't work much ion the game during the past two months or so because I felt like I'd need a small break after the release of my last (very big update) but development will continue. Lately I got some fresh Ideas for new quests and some new dungeons. I also considering to compose a own OST at some point.
I'm also a fan of Diablo and also the Golden Axe games for Mega Drive.

I mentioned previously that I play yoyo and I still do but in recent months I have started to get into and enjoy other skill toys such as Begleri, knuckle rollers, contact coins and very recently found myself getting really into Kendama!

My most important hobby is game development (on an amateurish level). You can find my longtime project "RogueBox Adventures" on itch.io.It is an roguelike/rpg with some sandbox elements. Also, its free and open source... So I would be happy if you try it out (if its your kind of thing of course ). Besides that I like to read (or listening to audio books) like many other people here. Mostly I read Fantasy and SF but I also try to read some classics from time to time. Furthermore I play Hnefatafl (viking chess) over agenielsen.dk but I'm not very good at it.
If my time allows I also love to be outside, doing some gardening or just enjoy nature.
Looks great ! I'm gonna give it a try I like coding too, but I'm trying to do something on a far more primitive machine : an Amstrad CPC 6128.

Not knocking religion or anything, but I collect religious pamphlets and all. The ones with typos are real keepers (although usually rare)
Music of all kinds, as I like pretty much anything from new age to death metal.
Photography's great but I've never done anything professional in regards to it though (hence why it's a hobby!).
I'd like to get back into model building at some point, as I have chronic fatigue (makes it hard to do much of anything) and I've got several boxes of models just sitting around (mostly sci-fi stuff like Star Trek).
Video games are great but, again, with chronic fatigue, I don't do much more than card games right now. Plus we have bedbugs here and if I sit for too long in one place I start itching in new places (98% of the time you never feel them crawling on you or else you'd be able to kill and clear out a lot more of those little monsters as it is. They're hard to get rid of too and unfortunately I've learned a lot in dealing with them and am clearing out crap to be rid of any of their potential habitats).

Hey man, hope you manage with chronic fatigue, keep strong!! If you play MtG Arena I'd love some friendly matches anytime... But I wanted to really post on the bedbugs thing.. I so feel for you man, 16 years back when I was doing the mandatory 1 year service for the army, we had tons and I means tons of those fuckers on the very remote southern tiny island we were.. Add to that endless summer heat (40+ celsius), mosquitos, the damn bugs as well as scorpions and snakes and you get the idea.. Still the bugs were the worst of all.. We could only removed them by completely moving ALL FUCKIN BEDS outside to actually burn the irons of the beds and clean all paraphernalia one by one.. It was a huge chore on its own and after a while noone would say "I got some bugs" because that would mean we would be ordered to again to move and clear everything outside so most of us... beared with the damned bugs.. Imagine that haha Thancx though for reminding me of those times, after all these years it seems funny somehow! Regards!!

Hey man, hope you manage with chronic fatigue, keep strong!! Thanks, I should be 50% cured within the next two weeks. It's a 50/50 problem: half of it's due to a rare illness I have, the other half is due to moving back in with a mentally ill mother. Never could figure out why we have all these tons and tons of problems, yet I've had two environmental companies come out here, test and prove we have airborne mold. Plus something *separate* is making the carbon monoxide alarm go off (its been debated online if monoxide alarms can detect mold; if they can't, then there's some additional problem with the house). The guy who's buying it is going to be dealing with it (good luck with that!). So, just by moving that'll clear things up a bit. If you play MtG Arena I'd love some friendly matches anytime... I don't know what that is but appreciate the invite But I wanted to really post on the bedbugs thing.. I so feel for you man, 16 years back when I was doing the mandatory 1 year service for the army, we had tons and I means tons of those fuckers on the very remote southern tiny island we were.. Oh no! Add to that endless summer heat (40+ celsius), mosquitos, Yeah, here we deal in Fahrenheit, which it's usually 90-109 degrees (highest I personally remember this city hitting ever is 109), which translates (roughly) to 30-40+ Celsius like you said. We have mosquitos and roaches too. Luckily where I'm moving to won't have any of that, and either very low or no humidity either. Still the bugs were the worst of all.. Yep. When infestation first starts, if that's the first time you've dealt with them (which it is for me) you don't know what it is, and then once you do you're usually screwed. Got bad rashes on my legs and loss of sleep due to waking up itching at all these ungodly times of night. I've had my room under control for months now due to clearing out a lot of crap though; the other rooms where they are, not so much. We could only removed them by completely moving ALL FUCKIN BEDS outside to actually burn the irons of the beds and clean all paraphernalia one by one.. It was a huge chore on its own and after a while noone would say "I got some bugs" because that would mean we would be ordered to again to move and clear everything outside so most of us... ...because if anyone reading this doesn't know, you have to go through EVERYTHING in order to get rid of them, you have to open up all drawers in furniture, stuff under the bed, all clothing, behind pictures, take the covers off of power outlets, after first looking for bedbugs and killing every single one you find, go over all bedsheets with a hair dryer, then vacuum (hair dryer should kill eggs and larvae, then vacuum to get rid of both if anything survived that), then bomb the damn house. And they STILL might live through all that! It's insane. Thancx though for reminding me of those times, after all these years it seems funny somehow! Regards!! Heh, well, that's good I'm not laughing over it now. Maybe in a couple of years...

I got fleas in the house one time - probably from the cat - and my God it was a nightmare. Thank goodness I haven't had to deal with bed bugs.

My main hobby is music, plain and simple. Apart from making music, listening to music and collecting music, I've been writing about music for the past 20 years covering a variety of genres from country and folk to the darkest and heaviest underground stuff, and for the past 10 years I've been running a oi!/punk distro which has probably become the largest in the country. I've also dabbled in releasing stuff, but apart from my own stuff, that was ages ago.
Apart from that, my other main hobby is long distance running. I try to rack up 4-7 hours and 40-70km every week, usually including a 2-4 hour long run every week. Currently the thought of running a second marathon is starting to sound like a good idea (in other words, I've started forgetting the horrors of the first one).
I also read quite a lot, with an aim to read at least 52 books every year.

I also read quite a lot, with an aim to read at least 52 books every year. That’s a nice pace, have any recs? Mostly read sci-fi this year and looking for a change of flavor. Depends on what you like! I've focused on African history this year - I realized I have very little knowledge of it and decided to remedy that. I've not had time for much fiction so far this year between reading music-related books for review purposes and concentrating on the aforementioned "theme". However, one general recommendation I do have for anyone: if there is a respected literary prize in your country that focuses on high literature by young authors, read one recent nominee or winner every year. In Finland, we have the Finlandia Prize, and for the past years I've done just that. It's a wonderful way to broaden your vocabulary and understand literary trends, but not only that: language is the tool for thinking, and the better we are at expressing ourselves, the more versatilely we can put words to our thoughts, and it becomes easier it is to grasp and formulate complex concepts. It's almost like meta-learning on a high level. Previously I focused more on "functional fiction" as I call it, where language is a tool to tell a story (most sci fi, for example, falls into this category - and this isn't a diss towards sci fi, not by any stretch!). After overcoming my antipathy towards what I perceived as artsy-fartsy pretentious bull, I've come to truly respect and love that kind of writing where language can be an end in and of itself: it's not always the story, but how certain authors make art with words. When I find myself re-reading a paragraph or sentence just because it's so beautifully expressed, it makes me love reading and literature ever more.

Are any of you gardening? I started growing vegetables in the garden two years ago - sometimes with more, sometimes with less success - and I must say that when it works, it is very satisfying. Being able to harvest your own tomatoes, peas, carrots and more in the summer and fall is awesome, aside from the fact that the taste is unbeatable. I also read quite a lot, with an aim to read at least 52 books every year. I am currently getting back into the habit of reading more. Owning a smartphone hasn't necessarily done me any good.... I inherited some classic literature from my grandfather and am currently reading my way through it slowly but surely. At the moment it's mostly Poe, eventually I'll venture into the divine comedy.
