I'm from New Zealand so other than being the home of The Lord Of The Rings we don't have a lot going on regards DS as far as I'm aware. Couldn't name any NZ DS artists. Oh boy, NZ has tons of DS taurnufuin.bandcamp.com/

There's enough of a DS scene in NZ to warrant there being an "Auckland Pagan Dungeon Synth Militia" which is a little tongue in cheek (but only a little)

As some may be aware, I've been cataloging many of the DS releases of this year on the Rate Your Music site, over 160 so far, and I've noticed some trends. Lots of music coming from the US, Italy, and Canada, with a slightly less steady stream coming from the UK and France. Sweden has a presence as well, and surprisingly, so does Brazil. I have logged one release from Costa Rica, most intriguingly. Hey there! I'm the one who released the dungeon synth material from Costa Rica, the first release that you rated was pretty experimental and it missed a lot of the DS feel. However, the latest one really got the DS vibe, you and anyone who's interested can check it out over here: ocrologo.bandcamp.com/track/ver-r-wertI believe this might be the first DS release/project from Costa Rica, at least the only one that's registered and trackable online labeled with that subgenre. Some old school black metal bands have released ambient and instrumental tracks, but none of them seemed to reclaim the DS label.

I wish I could continue cataloging releases the way I did in 2018. It would be interesting to see how the locations of different DS artists may be diversifying. Thanks for the heads up. Hope Costa Rica is treating you well and providing you a good atmosphere for your future music.

Canadian here. When I got into Dungeon Synth I was surprised at how much of it seems based in the USA. I haven't heard very many other Canadian projects. Mainly Ringbearer.
