This 2024 March Equinox challenge looks like fun. Let's see what I can come up with. (It's a reason to use some of my dice too.)

I rolled physical dice when possible. Instruments: 5 Songs: 8 Album length: 27 minutes. I hope to end up close to this, I'm on my last song and I'll try to keep it at 3:30 or under. I rolled the optional special restriction on the site and it told me to use a harp as the main instrument. So I played most of the songs on my lyre and psaltery, with other instruments (including the synth mimicking a harmonium) accompanying. I also invented a fictional band lineup to account for the overdubs in the simulated live performance. Almost done, and this has been fun: opened up new doors in imagining details of my project. The biggest challenge might be working the image of the tavern into a cover picture.

When it comes to the cover picture, don't stress about it too much. Those prompts are guidelines but you can ignore if you don't like the results.

This is awesome - great job, and I'm glad you had fun and joined the challenge. I have only had time to listen to it quickly a few days ago as I am spending any free time trying to finish my own, but I look forward to giving more focused listening when I can. Cheers

I rolled crypt hop for mine and I totally winged it. I'd say it turned out alright overall. More importantly, I had a ton of fun making it and it was a really good learning experience for me. Had a little fun quickly whipping up a logo and some artwork as well. maximummana.bandcamp.com/album/live-at-the-black-bridge

Maybe I could get into crypt hop as a genre. Thanks for sharing.

First time dungeon rusher here, had a lot of fun working to new parameters and a tight schedule, even if the end result is far from perfect! Looking forward to participating again next time. ancientinvocations.bandcamp.com/album/live-at-the-hand-hornSorry for the late post, I was waiting for my account to be verified.

This was very effective in conjuring up the mood of fantasy adventure that I craved and cherished when I was a stripling. Thanks for helping me feel young again.

When is the next Rush scheduled? I just joined and am looking forward to trying this. Thanks! It was scheduled by the seasons. The summer solstice of 2024 will be Thursday, Jun 20.
I ended up not having time to really work on anything other than start a few things. Between those and my early start on Autumn last year I've got the beginnings of an album, so I might just adapt them for something standalone outside of the challenge.
Love to see more people jumping in and trying stuff though, that's awesome!

bartizanchill.bandcamp.com/album/live-at-sailors-armsThis was a battle! I had a crazy roll (5 instruments, 11 songs, 47-50 minutes length) and bit off a bit more than I could chew and in this ninth Dungeon Rush, for the first time, I was unable to finish within the time limit. However after forging ahead I’m proud of the result so I’ll be releasing this one just the same, according to all the prompts as usual. It’s just not an “official” Rush completion, for whatever that’s worth. The 5-piece band playing at Sailors Arms tavern features a DX7, M1, acoustic guitar, malfunctioning mystery bass instrument, and hand percussion. There are also guest appearances by a shrieking child, and a cat jumping on the keyboard. Live at Sailors Arms comprises tales of the hidden realms and lives of the Elves. dlg9-u8wt ppku-enlb vjwj-xzy5 79s8-eg7f v242-33qm fvpw-hx6g mb94-jp8u 9a24-yr3q
