Thanks everybody for your participation and your kind words! I am still kind of decompressing and haven't had a chance to listen to everybody's stuff as much as I'd like but will try to post some bandcamp reviews when ready.

Genre: Comfy Synth Thematic Prompt: Vehicles Planes, trains, automobiles, or anything that moves you, even a horsey. I have to admit I don't know jack diddly about comfy synth, but as much as I can think of the concept above, it all sounds simply hilarious! Also, an auspicious spot for " training the dragon" to be taken to a new level of absurd

I would love to do this, but I have a DS project I'm working on right now and I really should be doing that rather than this. I am looking forward to see what comes of it, though. I'll certainly be back at a later date.

I cannot, for the life of me, tell whether or not this falls under the comfy synth genre, probably not… I was opting for a lighter tone than usual, let the listener be the judge. It was an interesting exercise because the songs had to be so long! Also, I had a real difficulty relating to the thematic prompt, I ended up accommodating it to myself a little bit. I treated the subject of vehicles as carriers, for example time as a vehicle of change etc. It was really a rush as I created it in 2 days, after a period of being unsatisfied with the music I make. This was a really freeing experience, knowing I have strict limitations gave the needed spark. It is, well... rushed, but I like how it turned out. Echonia - Wings of Timeechonian.bandcamp.com/album/wings-of-timePatches used:
- classical guitar
- deviating keys
- fairy keys
- bass guitar
- flute
- wind with rain ambience (track 3)

Dude this is awesome! Can't believe your speed. I gave it a quick listen the other day but don't have much time for focused listening since I need to be composing, but will circle back after the deadline. As always, I'm really happy to hear that this process can feel as inspiring for others as it does for me as well.

The Equinox Rush ends today! As always it was a tough battle to overcome. For anyone else who may be participating, remember you can spend as much time as you like to mix your project. I will be taking some days to do the same and hope to have it ready to release by the weekend. Cheers.

Finally finished mix/master on my project and it can be found here: bartizanchill.bandcamp.com/album/cycleIt's a kind of mix of comfy/synthwave. Mixing was a massive challenge because the songs are so long. Here are some codes if anybody is interested, hope you enjoy: m69q-wjzk 9z27-cy89 z2mv-w37z yvg8-xsq6 ygk3-esgy yt35-ud2f tzv9-jlwm 2ygz-yedg 7huu-6jky v4wv-kkgf

Finally grabbed your album, bartizanier, great stuff as always! I'm also excited to say that along with my release of my new DS album today, I have word back from a few folks about making cassette releases of it, as well as my dungeon rush challenge albums. As part of that, I'm getting them properly mastered, which I'm super excited about. I'll post here when that happens.

By the light of the August moon we ordain a new challenge. The southward Equinox Rush will take place starting September 22 and will run for two weeks until its conclusion on October 6. ThemeOur autumnal musical theme is “Forest Synth”. Special RulesEncumbrance: The first special rule is the returning “Encumbrance” which means only the same 6 patches are allowed throughout the project. A word on patches: one “patch” can be a synthesizer sound, or the sound of an acoustic instrument, a human voice, or a drum kit. Ambient sound recordings do not count as a patch if they are used as background, so feel free to invite the crickets and birds to your adventuring party. Forest Paths: The second special rule is “Forest Paths”. A determination must be made for the amount of songs and the minimum and maximum allowable running lengths of the project. Why should we have all the fun? Out of the extraordinary benevolence and generosity of our hearts, this season, we loosen our grasp on the reins of fate, and place the dice in your hands. For this Rush, each individual participant must randomize their own criteria! The typical dice roll for “amount of songs” is 2d4 + 1. The typical dice roll for project length is 3d20 rolled twice, setting a minimum and maximum option. Feel free to alter these formulae at your whim. If you don’t have physical dice, we enjoy anydice.com and random.org. Or you can call upon us to roll parameters for you. Pardon our long wind. We wish a bountiful harvest for all our dungeon friends and relatives.
