Time is up! The official time limit for the Equinox Rush ended about an hour ago.
If anybody out there has been playing along, or if you're proceeding on your own time frame, hope you enjoy the process and feel free to share here.
My own project ended up being very strange - it is more of a black metal/DS hybrid and may not find an audience. I now look forward to mixing and plan to release next weekend.
The next event will occur at the Summer Solstice in June, and we have some special twists planned, so mark it on your calendars.

I think my project turned out well, there are definitely some areas that feel less refined than if I would have liked but overall I am happy with it.
I plan to release mine next weekend after a release of one of my albums on the Wednesday of next week.
I look forward to hearing any other entries!

Beautiful work, all the moreso considering the limits in place. Limitation can certainly be a seed for inspiration, and this album doesn’t feel boxed in at all. Silent is a particularly pretty melody.

I am finally getting a chance to listen now and loving this. I like your very ambient style and I'm really imagining the feeling of spring coming through the music, especially on a track like 'Lost'. Thank you so much for joining in. |

My entry is finally released! I dragged my heels in the mixing and mastering process. The result is far DS adjacent. I would describe it as "sparse blackened synthwave" or something like that. Hail all and prithee heed the following announcement:
We will host the Summer Solstice Dungeon Rush, to begin on the 21st of June.
Dice roll will be held at the height of the full moon on the 14th day of that month.
Special rules "Summertide Premonition":
A) preordained 14 day time limit
B) no track limit
C) future/sci-fi theme

Summer time is almost here! Last night we were bathed by the light of the strawberry supermoon - luna in perigee syzygy - and so I rolled the dice to determine the parameters for the Summer Solstice dungeon rush challenge. And we have some very wild results! Before I reveal the dice rolls, lets look at the special rules for this Summer challenge: Summertide Premonition: set 14 day time limit, no track use limit, and utilizing a future/sci-fi theme. Future/sci-fi theme can be whatever you imagine, your concept, art, and sounds should embrace your vision of future, sci-fi, post-apocalypse, cosmic themes, or otherwise. Theophany: we are visited by a random goddess, and must incorporate her essence into the theme as well. Here are the parameters for the challenge: Time limit: 14 days Instruments: 5 (!) Songs: 6 Album Length Range: 14 - 16 minutes (Wow - these rolls were extremely low! So we have a very particular kind of challenge this time.) Goddess: White Tara - aspect of Sensitivity. "You are becoming increasingly sensitive. Don't forget though, you can take as long as you want mixing and mastering if so desired.
