OK I think this epic from back in 1965, from the certain point i've linked is maybe the first ever (in retrospect) DS piece ever.. I wanted to post it for a while now but always postpoined so since the thread surfaced here it is : Very nice, I watched the movie not too long ago. Great stuff.

Some dark synth and classical elements from Fabio Frizzi (Fulci was the director).

Manilla Road always had a DS-like aesthetic to them, and this track sees them channeling this aesthetic into a sound.

Famlende ForsΓΈk (1986) -- any other fans? Never heard of that, but after listening to that track last night I then went and listened to the whole album, really great and ahead of its time. Thanks for sharing.

A lot of B-Movies from the early 70s tended to use early synthesizers for scoring their films. Many European films from this era are period pieces set in the medieval era, sometimes taking place in castles or in medieval villages. Because of this, you'll hear synthesized music using traditional European instruments like organs, harpsichords, flutes, and stringed instruments, such as violins, violas, and cellos. It's essentially Dungeon Synth before there was Dungeon Synth. Here is a list of films in this category: Medieval Movies
