Nadre charges the bear leading his 2 soldiers to flank the bear and attack as well. (I'm assuming I only get one attack vs a bear)
attack roll: H0OYsrqN1d20+2 = 15
damage: 1d8+1 = 5

Jurlis uses his ring to release the hounds, and tries to also use it to subdue the bear.
Then he'll fire at it with his crossbow.

"Nooooo!!!" Cries Ypres Zo as his beloved dog, Odd, crashes to the floor in a ruined heap. He is aghast at the death of his pet, but a fierce fire rises within his sunken chest. "Onward, you hounds! Avenge fallen Odd, the bravest of us all!" And he takes aim with his crossbow, aiming to pierce the bear's wicked heart.

The bear swipes at the dog and the whole group goes quiet and like a fury or hornets descends onto the large fuzzy beast causing a massive amount of damage (21!!!!!!) The body of the bear goes limp and everyone is staying silent for moment beholding their new power when their party has the ranks it is suppose to.
The bear lies at the passageway to the west. Behind you is the blown out door and charred room while to the south are the familiar buzzing sounds.
+ 10xp to each player.

Ypres starts skinning the bear. Bear pelts are worth a pretty penny, even one so torn and ragged as this.
Assuming nobody has any objections, he will cut off the head & feet for trophies (to be distributed later). The rest of the meat can be divvvied up between party members & dogs (bear meat is highly nutritious). Ypres will give some choice portions to his dogs on the spot, to whet their appetites for blood.

The party looks over the corpse of the dead and now mutilated bear. In the gloom of the fading light the group sees a passage to the south and north both of them small enough to allow some atmospheric light illuminate tracers of their walls. The group lights a torch and hands it back to the still scared adventurers who will be their torch bearers and will light your way. The glow of light radiates on the stone hewn walls casting deep shadows against already dark features.

Have we checked the rooms that branch to the North & South off the hallway that leads to the West of the main entrance? If not, Ypres recommends we check there. But first, Ypres wishes to carefully and somberly arrange the corpse of Odd (Or was it Zod?) the Dog near the entrance (on his side, as though he were sleeping). He would like to return the poor dog's body to town later, for proper burial near the temple. Hopefully no monsters will molest it before then.
Otherwise, he stuffs his pack full of warm bear-parts and leads the way with his snarling dogs.

Nadre isn't much of a leader outside of battle. He will defer to Ypres preferring to defend the group rather than choose their path

The group noisy plunders into the rooms looking for treasure, loot or other sort of items.
North Room: This room looks to be a store house of some kind. there are barrels with rotting food that fill the room with a bad odor. There is a dead goblin stripped of most its belongings but curiously with shiny gold scattered around its body. The goblin looks to be mauled by a bear of some type.
MZDb3CPL1-20 1-4 1-100 + 75 = 89GP
South Room: This room is musty and dark and is filled with dirty straw that covers the ground. This must have been the bear den and scattered around at the corpses of adventures who tried to defeat this beast without the help of dogs. The group searches the bodies and one cleric in particular has a rare obsidian talisman around his neck which is lined in silver and gold.
1-20 1-4 1-100 x 100 = 7600 GP
GADZOOKS this thing must be worth around 7,000 GP. Your party looks at each other and smiles while you feel your experience as a party get stronger from this discovery.

Nadre gives his men a 20 gold bonus each for their valiant assistance in their first battle. He loves gold but he loves camaraderie and adventure even more and wants to maintain their loyalty early.
"Let's continue exploring this eastern corridor until we've completely covered the main floor. Then we can go back downstairs and map out where weve already explored better. We are much more prepared for the goblins and have the strength to rescue any prisoners if they still live."

Through the everburning torch your group spies a long corridor jutting to the south. This fifty foot long corridor is lined with cell doors, three on each side. The iron-barred door from the third cell on the right lies twisted in the middle of the corridor floor. At the far end, the corridor opens into a larger space. The smell of death and violence hangs heavy in the air. To the immediate east you see what looks like stairs that climb down to what you assume is the second floor.

Ypres Zo suggests that we cautiously inspect the prison area, staying in marching order. Ypres will leave with his growling and snapping dogs.

This hallway appears to have been a holding area for prisoners or involuntary givers of information. The group marches down to the first set of cells. The eastern cell is empty save for a pile of moldy straw on the floor and a set of corroded manacles bolted to the far wall. A rotting leather bag lies burst open on the floor next to the pile of straw. Several gold coins can be seen scattered on the floor near the bag. The western cell smells of death. A heap of bones in various states of decomposition rests against the far wall.

Nadre wants to cautiously approach the bag of gold but checking the cell for traps as well as checking the bag for traps. He remembers the goblin ambush in the basement storage closet and doesn't want to get tricked by a pile of treasure again especially since the room appears to be empty.
